Cards 1-6 in last 7 games
Cards swept Minnesota then 1-6. Several hits but bad pitching. They look like they could waste a good stretch of hitting with bad pitching.

Hopefully the pitching gets better before the hitting comes back down to earth or things could get very ugly very fast

Certainly deflating the enthusiasm I had after the first two series...and fast.

We are a terrific March team. But you know, once April hits fatigue sets in.

I remember Mo saying couple years ago how a stretch like this would make us better in October.chuckaluck1 wrote: ↑07 Apr 2025 20:03 pm We are a terrific March team. But you know, once April hits fatigue sets in.

I remember that...either way it wont matter...this team sucks...hopefully a few young guys breakout at leastCardsBest wrote: ↑07 Apr 2025 20:19 pmI remember Mo saying couple years ago how a stretch like this would make us better in October.chuckaluck1 wrote: ↑07 Apr 2025 20:03 pm We are a terrific March team. Unfortunately the Cards don’t have much margin for error.
Which means you can’t “give” games away.
Two extra inning losses at home to the Angels.
Could have easily won both but certainly must win
one.
And BTW....the Angels stink!
And not to pick on Helsley who was brilliant last year but you can’t gag away a sure win in brutal fashion with walks.
My expectations for this season were pretty mild.
Sort through the younger guys and figure out who to keep.
I still hope they can hang at .500. Average of course but in a weak division it could keep them in the race going into September?
Playing meaningful games will tell you more about young players than being out of it will.

Better in October at NOT playing baseball because they had been eliminated already?CardsBest wrote: ↑07 Apr 2025 20:19 pmI remember Mo saying couple years ago how a stretch like this would make us better in October.chuckaluck1 wrote: ↑07 Apr 2025 20:03 pm We are a terrific March team. The afternoon loss yesterday hurt. This team isn't good enough to let wins get away. Really wish they had added to the bullpen.

I don’t think they’re on a 92 win pace any moreJuanAgosto wrote: ↑07 Apr 2025 21:11 pm The afternoon loss yesterday hurt. This team isn't good enough to let wins get away. Really wish they had added to the bullpen.
