Bone bruise for Herrera- 4 weeks minimum on IL

Post by Baseball Savant »

Never heard of a bone bruise taking a month to heal, usually that’s a 10 day injury at best

Oh well par for the course for STL Cardinals

Katie Woo of Athletic first had the report.

It must be a DEEP bone bruise

A knee bruise is much more serious for a catcher than a position player being in the squat position.

He will be out until late May at the minimum

As Clubmaker suggested to you , Google it . Did you ?
If not, I did . I found out that a mild bone bruise is usually in the 2-4 week time period. A more serious bone bruise can be several months in healing. COuld write more but go ahead and research 'bone bruise ' yourself . What is your source for Your '10 day injury at best' comment .

I'd say a bruise that caused him to collapse is rather serious.

The question is, how did it happen running bases on a simple pop out to end an inning?
