Watching the Yankee-Tiger game today and already Yankee announcers talking about a short bullpen and their starter Rodon having to eat inngs today
Cardinals having been in that situation already a couple of times this season.
When are teams going to stop this 5 inning per start nonsense and realize it's not going to be a good thing in the long run?

Maybe I'm on an Island, but I'd love to see Baker get an extended look at DH. We know what Burly is, don't we? A slow, singles hitter.
Call me crazy, but I'd like to see if some of that power Baker showed at Memphis could translate to MLB.

Totally agree. He’s taking great at bats. Noot in center. Burly in left. Baker DH. Don’t think Oli is a big fan of Baker.Monsieur De Treville wrote: ↑07 Apr 2025 15:33 pm Maybe I'm on an Island, but I'd love to see Baker get an extended look at DH. We know what Burly is, don't we? No way Scott needs to play everyday and burly in left and noot in center and Walker in right would be one of the worst outfield defenses in decades combine that with the bad pitching and you’re talking disasterhullie wrote: ↑07 Apr 2025 16:28 pmTotally agree. Actually, Baker might show the power at 1B that the Cardinals are paying Contreras to provide.Monsieur De Treville wrote: ↑07 Apr 2025 15:33 pm Maybe I'm on an Island, but I'd love to see Baker get an extended look at DH. We know what Burly is, don't we? A slow, singles hitter.

I agree with you on Scott. But since he’s not playing tonight Noot can play center for a game. Sianni does nothing for this team.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑07 Apr 2025 16:36 pmNo way Scott needs to play everyday and burly in left and noot in center and Walker in right would be one of the worst outfield defenses in decades combine that with the bad pitching and you’re talking disasterhullie wrote: ↑07 Apr 2025 16:28 pmTotally agree. Scott should be in there. Young players have to learn how to hit through a slump.

One way to get Scott back on the right track offensively is to play him against Pirate pitching. I believe Skenes ERA is 1.46 and rest of SP is +6.
Pirates are tied for 3rd in hits given up, 5th runs allowed, and 25th in WHIP. Contreras, Winn, and Scott should feast is this staff.

Nado out, Saggese batting 6th,
Burleson and Walker move up in the order
