Did Anyone Listen To 101 Post-Game Last Night?
They played a collection of Avs radio calls where the PBP man repeatedly whined about the refereeing and said the Blues have been incredibly lucky during their 12th game winning streak. He basically said he can't wait until the horseshoe drops out the Blues assand wants to revel in it when it does. It lasted at least two minutes and was shocking with not even the pretense of objectivity.
Anyone else catch it? I hope it gets replayed on one of the regular shows Monday.

Not surprising at all.TBone wrote: ↑06 Apr 2025 17:45 pm They played a collection of Avs radio calls where the PBP man repeatedly whined about the refereeing and said the Blues have been incredibly lucky during their 12th game winning streak. Did you read their HF game day thread? These are some of the worst "fans" around that cannot tolerate any kind of challenge to their beloved.
"Shittington". It's pathetic.
There's like 3 of them that know what's actually happening.

Listened to their PBP team last nite. Missed the 'luck' stuff, but they thought it was highly appropriate to run Binnington to 'turn the game around'. File that one away.

I don't know if it was their television or radio PBP man, but it was pathetic. I've never heard anything like it.MikoTython wrote: ↑06 Apr 2025 17:53 pm Listened to their PBP team last nite. Unbelievable. I would say unprofessional, but that would be a serious understatement. Crazy, in fact.TBone wrote: ↑06 Apr 2025 18:27 pmI don't know if it was their television or radio PBP man, but it was pathetic. Had the Colorado feed by chance for the first 70% of the game and they were miffed about the no call Schenn high sticking Toews that directly led to the Neighbours goal, which if it happened in the reverse we would have been livid about. Missed calls happen, we caught a break on that. But for the most part they were complementary of Binnington. In fact they were throwing the shutout word and heaping praise like they were trying to jinx it for the first 30 minutes. In fairness he was great in the first period stopping a 17 shot barrage. They were talking about the Sabres comeback from down 4-0 though and they almost conjured it into being. That was the TV feed with Mark Rycroft color guy. I didn't hear the last 14 min because my feed flipped over to Blues announcers. And I have no idea what their radio call was saying. I can imagine what Avs fans were saying very easily.

Did they have anything to say when Toews gave his Daniel Day Lewis Oscar worthy performance in “the high stick that never happened but got called” later in the period? Blues TV guys shrugged it off as a make up call. It was a Premier league performance.seattleblue wrote: ↑06 Apr 2025 18:43 pm Had the Colorado feed by chance for the first 70% of the game and they were miffed about the no call Schenn high sticking Toews that directly led to the Neighbours goal, which if it happened in the reverse we would have been livid about. No but they wanted a second consecutive slashing the stick call when that second stick broke. Definitely didn't show a replay of Toews faking a high stick. In general, I thought they were pretty chill on the first call, and they didn't press the broken stick thing too hard. it was not a narrative. Basically they were saying Binnington was playing out of his mind since 4 Nations and was going to shut them out, etc. Avs weren't in it, etc. First it was 3-0 is the worst lead in hockey. Then they began talking about enough time to come back like Buffalo.George Zipp wrote: ↑06 Apr 2025 19:13 pmDid they have anything to say when Toews gave his Daniel Day Lewis Oscar worthy performance in “the high stick that never happened but got called” later in the period? Actually the funniest part was the PBP guy called the Frozen Four the "Frozen Faceoff" in the first period talking about Denver playing in it. Then Rycroft corrected him, said "Frozen Four" and got corrected back, "No, Frozen Faceoff." To which Rycroft, not wanting to get into an argument on air, said "Whatever you say" and let it go. Then they fully litigated this in the second period. "You blew me up when I corrected you!"

Re: Did Anyone Listen To 101 Post-Game Last Night?
I suspect the Avalanche fans, media, and announcers are having a real hard time coming to terms with the fact that Neces ain't Rantanen ...and their dream of returning to Cup glory took a big hit. In any case, the radio crew suggested a "from their perspective" post-game clip might have to become a regular thing.
