This is a good move for Ralph. He got top minutes in St. Cloud but Mich St is a top program and he should be able to develop well there.

I like this move as well. The Big Ten is a gauntlet, so not only is he going to a great program, but he'll get to play in a lot of high-level hockey games.

Agree the Big 10 has a lot of good teams but they all seem to flail when it comes to crunch time. Fun fact: no Big 10 team has ever won the National Championship.Cujo's Mask wrote: ↑05 Apr 2025 17:24 pm I like this move as well. Obviously some of those teams have but that was before the Big 10 conference was formed. Once they all left their previous conferences and joined together 12 years ago.

Would Ralph playing at Michigan state be a situation that’s it’s better for him to play 2 years there before signing with the Blues?

Oh, 100% they seem to (bleep) the bed every year in the tournament. Got 5 teams in a 16 team tournament and the worst of the 5 (by ranking) is the only one to make the frozen four. Some of the recent Michigan and Minnesota teams really should have won one, but not to be.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑05 Apr 2025 17:47 pmAgree the Big 10 has a lot of good teams but they all seem to flail when it comes to crunch time.
