OK, if it is the fake news came from Channel 41 out of Kansas City. Saw highlights of him playing, the sports director is a KU fan, so he may be trolling us, but that was the source.Lightning Rod wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025 18:30 pmFake newsMIDMOBIRDTWO wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025 18:28 pm Mizzou picks up Jayden in the portal. I hope he is right, but he may be having an April fool''s flashback.Lightning Rod wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025 18:40 pmYou may be right, but I have not seen it anywhere.MIDMOBIRDTWO wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025 18:32 pmOK, if it is the fake news came from Channel 41 out of Kansas City. Re: Jayden Quaintance
Word is that his price tag is too high for Mizzou. No other indication anywhere that he has made a decision.
Re: Jayden Quaintance
My thoughts...with the ACL injury, he (the family) might be playing it safe in case the knee doesn't heal properly or in the case of reinjuring the knee. He goes to the highest bidder, period.
Re: Jayden Quaintance
May a 17 year old enter into a NIL deal on his/her own?

Re: Jayden Quaintance
Seems pretty risky to be paying significant $$$ for someone who could be like Porter Jr, heal up at MU's expense, and then move on. For me I'd pass unless a full medical shows he will play in the Fall.

Re: Jayden Quaintance
Pass! Pass!
Main reason is just look at Mizzou's history with injured players.
We don't want a drama like Michael Porter.
Another reason is "Jayden's daddy" will be asking for a big number. No way you pay for an injured player.
Like Jack said, Mizzou was sold a "bill of goods" with Michael Porter! Don't repeat the same mistake a second time.
I would "lowball" his daddy and require the kid to stay 2 years. Jayden's dad would laugh at you.

I'm sure if he committed somewhere else instead of Mizzou, then you would have searched long and hard to confirm it

Of course, my comment was rhetorical. Their earnings may also land on their parents tax return if they are not careful.edwin drood wrote: ↑03 Apr 2025 16:59 pmAssuming that the NIL deal is a contract, no, a 17 year cannot sign a contract..

He should wait to sign in July after he turns 18. Every school in the country will still take him.
