Two good tight games. Should have won one. Need a win and 4-2 will look good.

Yep, frustrating because both were winnable games. But 3-2 is still not bad. Still in first place today. Win today (if they play) and a 4-2 home stand would be pretty solid heading into Boston.

Given that Winn and WC are hitless, the offense has been pretty good. Noot will come down to earth, but WC will hit. VSII has been a nice surprise. Don't know how long he can keep it up, but he certainly has not looked over matched at the plate and taken good ABs even when he has made an out. Libby looked decent. Having him in the rotation is a two edged sword in that he would have been really nice out of the pen in one of the last two losses. Herrrera looks ok behind the plate, and he can certainly hit, but his complete lack of an arm may cost them some games this year. To me, the biggest problem is the 7th and 8th pen. Hopefully Maton will round into form. Romero may have hit his limit. They got some good use out of him, but he hasn't been great lately. They have a lot of arms, so hopefully one or two guys will step it up and replace that role Libby was in. They need 2 or 3 guys in the pen to really step it up. It is early and they have enough arms that it can happen.

I still think Marmol should have been gone before last season... sigh.....

They did finally get some hits with RISP in extras last night, but one hit with RISP in innings 1-9 on either night and we're talking about an undefeated team.

That's why I literally have no faith and no excitement atm. When they can conistenly show they can simply post a 100 or higher OPS+ with RISP for more than a month, I'll start to believe.

I said from the beginning, they could win 90 and the division, or they could lose 100. If they don't fix the RISP problem, 100 losses seems likely.

The staff has been strong thru five games. If we get games pitched like these five, I’ll take every one- 157 just like it.

I like what I’m seeing the first 5 games.

Guys are hitting.

The starters are doing well.

Could be a fun season.

They must avoid that drag down losing streak or streaks of five games or more. Baggage.

Like the Braves, who are 0-6 and already 4 games behind the Phillies. 8O

I know its early but keep an eye on Victor Scott.

Looks like he is quickly maturing into a productive role.

Question is if he keeps hitting will he be able to adjust when the league eventually does.

Exactly. I know early and six games. But the hose streaks both mentality exhaust and frustrate thus causing anxiety. And a hot division team could put pressure on them.

If our staff performs as they have, nice season.

Not who you asked, but what's funny to me is that after a few laughers, we get a couple of games requiring managerial input. And they are (upset) away. I don't know if that's funny or sad though.

Looking good against the Twins is fairly easy. That looks close to a AA team.

Yet CT says a manager has no WaR. Or has no bearing on outcome.

Obviously, the last two nights prove otherwise.
