Cam Fowler
I am so happy for Cam Fowler. He seems to be having so much fun playing for a playoff team. He is scoring above his career average and he's a positive +/-
Re: Cam Fowler
Dude has played the majority of his career in a pit of despair. A solid, confident locker room does a lot for a player.

He is so smooth and cool, with speed for a defenseman.hockey jedi wrote: ↑01 Apr 2025 21:42 pm I am so happy for Cam Fowler. He seems to be having so much fun playing for a playoff team. He is scoring above his career average and he's a positive +/-
Another "muffin" move by GM of the Year, Doug Armstrong.

Re: Cam Fowler
I don't know if it's just confidence but the way he is skating, handling the puck and shooting, he looks like a guy that could put up 15 G 35 A without a sweat right now.
He looks amazing.

Re: Cam Fowler
Cam is putting up .67 ppg. That's 55 point year over 82 games. He's in the 30 assist club too
Re: Cam Fowler
Fowler is what Tory Krug was supposed to be. In another thread about Fowler, I pointed out how he was responsible for getting that puck to Kyrou for the game tying goal. He “walked the line” beautifully looking for a perfect lane to either shoot or pass, and Man, did he connect with that pass

Re: Cam Fowler
I know I will get flamed for this, but I think Krug still has good hockey left. He needed to get that ankle fixed. I think Faulk is gone this summer because he has more trade value than Krug.
Re: Cam Fowler
That may be the case, he was a very different player when he played for Boston. I'm sure that is the player they thought we were going to get.hockey jedi wrote: ↑01 Apr 2025 23:58 pm I know I will get flamed for this, but I think Krug still has good hockey left. Re: Cam Fowler
Faulk isn't getting traded unless we sign another top 4 RD first and those are about as rare as can be right now.hockey jedi wrote: ↑01 Apr 2025 23:58 pm I know I will get flamed for this, but I think Krug still has good hockey left. Re: Cam Fowler
I would actually argue he has had the biggest impact of all the signings this year.
The offer sheet boys will have the biggest long term impact of course, but for just this season I would say Fowlers contribution is (just) a bit above either Holloway or Broberg.

Re: Cam Fowler
Something has to give on defense. We have too much money tied up in the defense payroll with Krug coming back. We can't pay them all. We might have to trade Faulk because he is more marketable until we know what Krug is going to be coming off ankle surgery. Krug has zero market value now.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025 00:32 amFaulk isn't getting traded unless we sign another top 4 RD first and those are about as rare as can be right now.hockey jedi wrote: ↑01 Apr 2025 23:58 pm I know I will get flamed for this, but I think Krug still has good hockey left. Re: Cam Fowler
Im not so sure that krug is coming back. He has to go through the motions to shkw he is trying to rehab to get his oay, but many experts think he may never be fully healthy again and that his surgery was to just help him live a normal life after hockey. We cant knkw for sure ciz he has to try to do everything to come back if he wants his remaining money unless he is content with leaving it on table.hockey jedi wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025 06:25 amSomething has to give on defense. Re: Cam Fowler
I wouldn't go that far but he's been fantastic. He looks like an All-Star back there. Of course, so does Holloway, and Broberg at times.britishblue wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025 05:14 am I would actually argue he has had the biggest impact of all the signings this year.

For sure, though, those 3 are in the top 5 for why the Blues are where they are.
Re: Cam Fowler
Is Krug actually coming back? I’ve heard with his issue he might not play again. Was there news I missed?hockey jedi wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025 06:25 amSomething has to give on defense.
