Army and Shattenkirk on Spittin' Chiclets [video]
Can't wait to get into this one
Re: Army and Shattenkirk on Spittin' Chiclets [video]
Shatty was always a good interview. He had intelligent responses and didn't just use the cliche answers that most players do. Seemed like a good dude. I'm glad he got his name on the cup.

Great interview with Army. Good insights on trade deadline\no trade clauses and youth gaining maturity and experience at their own pace.

I really enjoy listening to Army. He gives real answers and great insight. You don’t always have to agree with him, but his interviews are definitely informative.

Good interview. Kept smiling every time Army said Parayko’s name… he says Parenko.

The Questions that Shattenkirk didn't ask, but should have...
1) Feb 1, you said that you were getting rid of long-term players because things weren't changing. You had already gotten rid of Saad. Are you still planning on getting rid of some of our long-term players? How is it going so far with jettisoning them? Will we get fair value for them?
2) How is the relationship between you and our Team Captain now that you asked him to be a "team player" by simply "leaving the team" (and walk away from his negotiated no-trade-clause).
3) So how deep do you think we will go in the playoffs?
4) Are you worried that Cam Fowler is one of our best players, but he is way outside the age window of the core of our team? Do you have a prospect ear-marked yet to step into his skates?

None of those questions needed to be askeda smell of green grass wrote: ↑01 Apr 2025 22:17 pm The Questions that Shattenkirk didn't ask, but should have...

There were few to trade and if they were the return would have been negligent, so it was better to keep them
2) How is the relationship between you and our Team Captain now that you asked him to be a "team player" by simply "leaving the team" (and walk away from his negotiated no-trade-clause).
This never happened

The same as everyone else, we'll go as far as our defense and goaltending takes us
4) Are you worried that Cam Fowler is one of our best players, but he is way outside the age window of the core of our team? Do you have a prospect ear-marked yet to step into his skates? Yes we do, and Cam is showing that he still has a few years left in him so we can allow Broberg to get completely comfortable before moving him into the top spot, then allow the others to continue to mature in the minors. It's working out quite nicely.
