That could get interesting. The Wine and Cheese Place on Clayton, April 9th from 4-6pm. I'd go just to tell him they replayed the stick breaking came last week. I HATED that guy. My brother in law is a Hawks fan and he's going so if it gets sideways I'll let y'all know.

Why here? He was hated more than JR.

He was employed by the Blues several years ago, but just for a short time (few months during ‘09-10 season)

LOVE this! The new arenas are so much nicer, I'd never make it to the upper deck of the Arena with my knees, but they just don't have the sound. The whole building vibrated when that chant started.

My limited understanding is he is opening a distillery (expansion to our region), around main street st charles.
If I see him, you think he’ll sign my broken stick!

I’d give anything to have the rivalry back like it was when Eddie was in the net. I never hated him, he was just a villain for a good hockey rivalry.
I still think he had a legit gripe on that OT goal!

Did you see the rebroadcast of the game? They had Cujo doing commentary throughout it. Evidently it's the first time he's watched it, because he was like "Wow! he was interfered with. I see why he was mad. I don't care. Too bad.". It was funny.

I always liked Belfour. One of my favorite goalers of all time.. Wish I could go. I hope he has a good turnout.

Keith Magnuson comes to mind for longtime Blues fans as the most hated Blackhawk. I remember when John Arbour beat the (bleep) out of him in one game at the old Arena. Neither one was wearing a helmet.

I was at the game, it was during my season ticket years but I’ve seen the replay numerous times…big time interference by Hull but yeah…went home very happy that day and then like a true St. Louis hoosier, put some porksteaks on the grill.

At the time, I too disliked Magnuson. His sprint onto the ice as the first Hawk player out of the locker room and his intensity fed the feeling as an opposing fan. But I came to learn that he was highly respected and liked by his fellow pros & opponents particularly in retirement. It was indeed extremely sad when he died in an unfortunate accident while another very high quality individual was driving...further proof that we are all imperfect humans whom make poor judgments at times...and he accepted his accountablility and paid his debt to society nobly.
But back to the fight with John Arbour. It was thrilling at the time as a Blues fan, but the reality is it was a wanton, stupid instigation by Arbour and the Blues Coach and organization and I assume (to be fair never heard that) even some of his teammates did not like it. Arbour did not play as much and did not last on the Blues very long after that.
The strong rivalries fueled by more games against fewer teams with closer geography made for more passion. But I get the value of growing the sport and audience by having more teams for fans to be able to attend in person.

Did anyone in the NHL not beat the (bleep) out of Keith Magnuson? Even his wife said he looked good in red.

Belfour was comedy. I kind of liked his antics for entertainment value.

Chris Chelios is the guy that I wanted to see beaten with a passion.
