Vancouver ‘Bout to Lose

Post by Backesdraft »

To WPG. That’ll put them 6 points back with only a game in hand. Have to think this might just about be the end for them.

Just lost. Good game, Vancouver pushed at the end but took a too many men penalty with the goalie pulled that sealed it.

Vancouver will definitely be one of the most interesting teams to watch this offseason. Seems to me there could be valid cases made on both sides of the house (buying vs. selling). Don’t envy their GM or fanbase right now.

I’m not high on Rick Tocchet as coach. But that’s more of a gut feel than anything I can truly quantify.

Agree on that actually. Would also love to know what the real story is/was with the whole locker room rift between EP and Miller. Wonder if the whole story will ever come out.

I think he’s great from what I know. Him and Berube talk all the time and are tight.

Right now Tocchet is set to be a free agent at the end of the season.

Rumor is with his ties to the organization he's in line to be the next Flyers coach

The Flyers do love their alumni. You may be spot-on!

Will be nice to see a post 2019 Blues team in the playoffs without Kadri (yes I know this thread is about VAN and not CGY.)

It's going to be MIN and one of STL, VAN and CGY.... I guess MIN can choke too.

Who knows, going to be a fun last few weeks.

I would put money on Tocchet landing with the Flyers. But I would really feel bad for Brad Shaw.

I’m gonna preface this that I’m not a gossip guy. Was in Vegas this weekend proudly wearing my blues hat. Sitting at a bar at dinner and started chatting up a couple from Van. Dude claimed he worked for the nucks. I asked him about the season. He said the entire rift is because EP is gay and JT Miller called him a [redacted] many times. The room sided with EP and they shipped miller out.

Again take that with a gigantic grain of salt but it was interesting to listen to

Shaw has had lots of interviews or runs as interim coaches. If he hasn't gotten a HC gig by now, he never will.
