Cubs get to spend a lot of the month of April playing NL West teams. Hopefully they bury the Cubs.

Why would I care when they play who? It’s fine.

IDK…..why have leagues or divisions……rivals
Just thrilled for those Twins…..Tigers…..and Royals

See back in the day you would play your division rivals and attempt to beat them out to make it in to the playoffs 8O
Thus a rival
If every team is just like every other team……no real rivalry

Like the Balanced schedule. Get to see lots of teams I wouldn't normally see play as I only really watch Card games. Other than checking in on players on my Fantasy team.

Gets stale playing Pirates or Reds 20 times a year.

As to when they play them. Whateva.

3 game series at end of year with Brew Crew with 1st on the line. Exciting. Great. Rather be sitting with a 1 game lead playing the Pirates while Brew Crew are playing the Mets.

One game at a time. Line em up. Knock em down. We take all comers. Anywhere at anytime. Attitude you must have. Not crying about a schedule.

Get a hold of yourself. Going have plenty of legit [shirt] to moan about. Pace yourself.

Is there anything, anything at all, that makes you happy\hopeful\excited\titillated\contented\joyful about Cardinals baseball?

Every post you start is more miserable than the last. How can someone post so much, so often about something he obviously dislikes so passionately?

Maybe take a break. Go for a walk. Knit something. Take a cooking class. Volunteer at a soup kitchen. Go to a shooting range (if you're into that sort of thing). There has to be something which will bring you more joy than being a 100% negative troll on a message board.

Or, maybe you're not a troll...

Hate the owner? Fine.
Hate the front office? Ok.
Hate the manager? Fair.

But is there any fondness, deep down in the blackest depths of your heart, for the St. Louis Cardinals?

Here's a challenge...

Of course you're under no obligation. You owe nothing to me. You can certainly cling to your CT role of being the defiant 'just keeping it real' kind of guy. Or, you can break from character, just this once.

In honor of Opening Day, make one positive post. No backhanded compliments. No hidden shots at whoever\whatever you're mad at at the moment. A truly 100% genuinely positive post about Cardinals Baseball.

How refreshing that would be.

It was that way back in the day and it did have benefits. But it also had drawbacks…like great teams missing the playoffs because they were in a tough division or vice versa. They have overcorrected a bit but it’s a decent balance right now of rewarding division winners and getting to see all the Teams come through your city.

But that wasn’t my point anyway. My point was why do you care if the Cubs come in June or April?

A home opener against the boring Twins doesn't feel right, that's for sure, but some team has to play them. I don't care for interleague play in general, but what are we going to do about it? It's here to stay.
