Which spring troubles are you bothered by the most?
Gray 0-3 12.56 ERA
Winn .089 AVG/.232 OPS
Walker .154/.438
Arenado .184/.554
Gorman actually has an average over .200
Donovan is batting .186 but I'm not honestly worried about him.
Who else would you add? I've been pleasantly surprised with the rest of our pitching

That overall the team lacks a great deal of talent.

I would say Winn because he said he got into bad habits and that can wreck a player for a while. Walker Arenado and Gorman no I was skeptical of them coming in and didn’t have high expectations. Gray a little just because of his injury history

Posts by some CTers...

Mozeliak still around, and DeWitt's still mostly in denial about the organization.

Walker and Winn as for individuals.
My biggest (trouble) is the overall team defense.
It wasn't that long ago (2021) we had 5 Gold Glovers.
Arenado is the only one I'm 100% confident in, Winn maybe.

The offense in general. The closest thing to a star is Contreras and he turns 33 in May. The prime aged guys are complementary players and the young ones come with a lot of question marks. I think Gray will be fine and for the first time in a while I am encouraged by the rotation depth.

4 or 5 hits a game isn't going to cut it
Gray is a red flag for me, prove me wrong big boy

NA I am not really concerned about - after last season ... and all the trade scuttlebutt ... He will play good D and get some hits but the bar is lowering yr by yr
Walker .... yikes ... that one is an enigma ... He looks the part and has shown the skills a time or two ... maybe he will put it together? Probably for a different team in a few yrs... (plz no)
Gray .. I am worried but willing to believe he is 'working on stuff' - we'll see on opening day in a few days ...
So by eliminating the other 3 ...
Winn ..... uugh ... he doesn't look great and we don't have a backup ss really ... I had hoped he would avoid sophomore slump
It is fun to have other baseball obsessives to blab with.
Go Cards .. even if you have a lousy yr I will still be watching and following but likely also rolling my eyes and facepalming whilst watching and following ...

Oli still being the manager, and the offensive strategy of still trying to hit HR’s on every pitch!

The St Louis Cardinals

And BDW Jr. most of all.

I’m no more or less concerned than I was before Spring, but I’m concerned. If Winn doesn’t progress and at least one of Walker or Gorman doesn’t lock in a middle of the order spot for 2026 this team could be bad for a while.
Scott, Winn, Gorman, Walker, Noot could be a very good core going into 2026 too, so not all is doom and gloom. But a lot of good things are going to have to happen this year

Brant Brown is a hack. The hitting is going to be terrible.
Another brilliant Mo move.
Here's to $5 tickets by June.
