Could the Cardinals move Gray?

Post by Shady »

Offering to pay half his remaining salary. And get a # 11 to 20 type prospect in return. Especially, when they feel Mathews is ready.

Only if he waives his NTC…which he’s already said he won’t do.

Gonna be tough to trade him after he has TJ.

Are you once again "changing your evaluation" based on "developments" (i.e., whatever happened in the last game)?

Maybe the chance to pitch for a really good team fairly close to Nashville would appeal to him. Atlanta comes to mind.

You know Gray does not want to waive his NTC so why do you keep suggesting a trade? That's right, attention. And didn't you post yesterday you were going to go away for a while?

You told Mort he was added to your "Foe list" a long time ago. What gives?

You keep (re-)adding the same people to your list over and over again. Did your "Foe list" spring a leak or something?

Maybe it was one of his old racist sock handles that Foed me. It's difficult keeping track.

Gray is like a lot of the humble mild mannered players the Cardinals have went after. He doesn’t have the competitive fire or drive to win the greats do. It’s why he doesn’t give you close to 200 innings or go deep and in games. It’s why he’s not the guy you want as your ace in the playoffs. And it’s why he asked to stay when the Cards mentioned trading him. He wants to settle in comfortably somewhere and stay put even if it means never getting a ring.

It’s also why thinking about any trade scenario is a waste of time. He doesn’t care if he wins, he wants to stay where he is.

I would think both Cincinnati and Atlanta would be destinations Gray would approve. Cards need to move salary and make room for McGreevy and Matthews. Of all the high salaries players remaining, I would keep Contreras and Helsley.

Gray pitches like he has some kind of hidden injury, Chip blames the WIND for all the homers but can he also blame the wind on all the walks ?

Do you even pay attention? Or are you really this stupid?

DeWitt is not going to pay half of Gray's salary.

Imminent breakdown on the horizon...
