I found FFC's "Megalopolis" fascinating, with the Adam Driver character a combination of Donald Trump's real estate career and Building Commissioner Robert Moses, a true yin vs. yang in the same person. I just can't get over how anyone sees the ghastly-ugly Driver as a leading man, though he's a fine actor with a great voice.
This Razzies story brings to mind Oscars host Conan O'Brien's (paraphrased) zinger "We feel for those in the audience and in Los Angeles who have lost their homes and everything they owned in the last few months. I'm speaking, of course, of the producers of 'Joker 2'."

You don't think Megalopolis deserved a razzie ? I didn't see it, didn't seem like something I'd be interested in. I've read that FFC pretty much sank his fortune into the film which, if true, would be terribly unfortunate.Pink Freud wrote: ↑04 Mar 2025 10:19 am I found FFC's "Megalopolis" fascinating, with the Adam Driver character a combination of Donald Trump's real estate career and Building Commissioner Robert Moses, a true yin vs. yang in the same person. Is there a criteria for a razzie - is a box-office bomb sufficient ? I always thought it signified a terrible/bad/silly/inept film, on the merits.

I went to see "Megalopolis" solely to see just how bad it was supposed to be. I still found elements of it interesting, though I fully understand why it earned a Golden Raspberry Award. It's for the exact same reason I went to see "Cats"....and actually kind of liked it, truth be told. Perhaps I had purposely set the bar very low.MikoTython wrote: ↑04 Mar 2025 17:19 pmYou don't think Megalopolis deserved a razzie ? I didn't see it, didn't seem like something I'd be interested in. But I'll never be able to un-see those "Cats" cockroaches with human faces, nor Rebel Wilson in a tight catsuit.
