This Netherlands based Beatles cover band is different than most. Most Beatle bands attempt to look like the Fab Four, even finding a left-handed bass player. The Analogues do not go to such lengths but rather aim to recreate the sound of the Beatles, down to t ofhe beautiful George Martin enhancements of strings, harps and horns. And they do a great job.

Re: The Analogues
I'm not even a Beatles fan, but the video that has the complete White album end-to-end is fascinating to watch (I prefer it to any Beatles record -- yeah, yeah, yeah, burn the heretic) and makes the claim that the Beatles couldn't have reproduced their studio works live false. It only takes 4 or 5 guys and then some rotating support players (a string section, some horns) and there you are.
I'd pay to see them.
The only Beatles cover as good is the Jerry Garcia Band's cover of Dear Prudence.

Re: The Analogues
The other item of interest that I read is that the Analogues use the exact same make and vintage instruments that the Beatles played on the records and even play the (few) wrong notes the same as on the recordings.. so on the White album show you see the guitar players switch the guitar that they play between different songs.edwin drood wrote: ↑14 Feb 2025 09:38 am
