This trailer raises a few questions:

1) So...this whole thing, even the scenes where they're just sitting around, is going to be paved over with CG backgrounds? There doesn't seem to be one actual photon in this trailer.
2) Follow-up question: how can the Thing CGI look worse in 2025 than it did in 2007? Rise of the Silver Surfer cost 30 mil dollars. Without looking, I'm going to guess First Steps costs at least $200 mil. Adjust for inflation all you want. Although I guess I admire how bold they are in showing off just how insanely bad he looks. No hiding him in shadows until they finish the effects, just take a good, long look folks. Fearless, in a way.
3) Disney is doing a great job steering the cultural conversation away from 'they really learned nothing from Ant Man, did they?' to 'I love the look of the film but "#Galactus-too-small?" Congrats?
4) I stand by my prediction that Deadpool v. Wolverine will be the last MCU movie to make $1 bil.
5) Why did I have to post this? Where is our local group of Marvel fanboys?

For me, it all ended with Endgame. I went opening night with buddies, loved it. That was the end as many of us "fanboys" called it. I have seen maybe 2 or 3 Marvel movies since then.
*Deadpool vs. Wolverine was awesome, so I am not counting it in the after-Endgame group since Deadpool has always been kind of a stand alone series.

Jessica Alba should have been asked back.

I don't know, good actors, but as much as I love Pedro Pascal, I don't like the fit. Also he is in EVERYTHING that comes out now, so they could have gone a different direction. I am not saying that this will bomb, I will go see it, but I think you are right, no more $1 billion movies.

I thought Thing looked fine. I think the movie looks fine. I'll probably see it. Not looking forward to Downey as Doom.

I think this is the best renditions of the Thing yet in any of the movies. He actually looks like the comic character and Jack Kirby’s art. One thing to keep in mind that sometimes in these teaser trailers, the VFX is not complete, but I still thought it looked good as is.

I agree with you about Pedro. I love him as an actor, but he does not scream Reed Richards to me.

"Director of Photography" is a pretty sweet gig these days. An army of computer nerds "pre-visualize" everything, another army of FX guys place all the actors in exactly the right spot in relation to the tennis balls that represent the set, and a third post-production army pushes buttons until you get just the right tones of orange and purple and electric blue and (in this case) hazy robin's egg.

Not familiar enough with the comics to know if cooking was one of Ben Grimm's favorite hobbies but it was a choice to hire a prominent actor from 'The Bear' to play the character and then have him cooking in the trailer. All I'm thinking about watching that part of the trailer is that actor in that other show. Now waiting for all of the forthcoming The Bear/Fantastic 4 mashups. Thing's voice will also have to take some getting used to.

Fantastic Four and X-Men need some proper movies to get into higher standing in the MCU - would be nice if this film helps.

This looks really promising, especially with the way they’ve produced it in terms of the retro 60s look.

I’m definitely gonna see it, but I see all of them.
