The Piano Lesson

Post by otcboy »

I watched 'The Piano Lesson' yesterday while donating platelets at the Red Cross (one of the few times I have time to just focus on a movie without being distracted by other things I need to do).

I liked it. I would be very surprised if it doesn't get a handful of Oscar nominations.

Currently on Netflix.

Cool ! I wanted to see it at the Chicago festival last month, but you had to stand in line. It does look interesting. Its treatment shows how modern adult-thmed drama no longer rates domestic theater release. Every theater is showing the same 8 or so offerings, mostly animated or fantastical dreck.

It is currently showing at Plaza Frontenac. If the movie is as powerful and well done as the original stage production, it should be a winner.

I hope it's not the only good you see in me.

There is much good in you, too.

Cheers.
