Re: Agatha All Along
I like Kathryn Hahn as an actress, and she excels in this role, but I'm just not sure we needed this. Although to see Aubrey Plaza play a witch I am here for.

Re: Agatha All Along
A lot of the writing/production team from WandaVision worked on Agatha All Along, so there is a glimmer of hope that this might be worthwhile. Will be interesting to see how/if they try to shoehorn the story into the larger MCU.

Even if it's competently produced and executed there's still the glaring issue of "Why tf should any of us give a single solitary [shirt] about Agatha f@(bleep) Harkness?"todd-parker wrote: ↑14 Aug 2024 11:18 am A lot of the writing/production team from WandaVision worked on Agatha All Along, so there is a glimmer of hope that this might be worthwhile. I agree, BUT - they pulled it off with Peacemaker, which was an absolute homerun about a character I didn't think I would care about, or want to know more about.Even if it's competently produced and executed there's still the glaring issue of "Why tf should any of us give a single solitary [shirt] about Agatha f@(bleep) Harkness?"

DCEU and MCU execs are two completely different "theys"FrankTheTank wrote: ↑15 Aug 2024 13:21 pmI agree, BUT - they pulled it off with Peacemaker, which was an absolute homerun about a character I didn't think I would care about, or want to know more about.Even if it's competently produced and executed there's still the glaring issue of "Why tf should any of us give a single solitary [shirt] about Agatha f@(bleep) Harkness?"
Peacemaker was the WandaVision of the DCEU, i.e. the 1st spinoff attempt. If Agatha was the 2nd MCU series and not the 8th (?) in a decreasingly satisfying conga line over the last few years I'd be way more optimistic about it.

Re: Agatha All Along
I agree with that. I was making a broad opinion just based on a secondary character from a popular movie (or TV show) getting their own show. You are correct, Peacemaker was #1 while this one is way down the list. I guess we will see.DCEU and MCU execs are two completely different "theys"

Re: Agatha All Along
Disney wants to treat WandaVision as the first of a trilogy - Agatha All Along being the first sequel and Vision Quest, scheduled to film next year, being the story's conclusion.
