At what point do you look at the coaching or are all these guys just stupid?
Maybe a combination of both???
To me, its coaching more than anything. Players can "brain fart". Every player is susceptible to a bad decision but this team does it nightly. It's ill preparation and bad coaching IMO.
Teams tend to mimic their leadership when it comes to judgement and fundamentals.
I can excuse the Manager to an extent as that he has a lot to analyze on the run.
But a base coach????
His SOLE purpose is to direct the baserunner by using JUDGEMENT.
If this team is a collective train wreck on the bases nightly what does that say about their JUDGEMENT?????
Well, they are supposed to listen to the coaches. They are the guidance. It's just toxic. Rebuild the minors and the coaches as well. ImO.
Look....I’m in no way excusing players for boneheaded baserunning judgement.
But....continuous awful judgement by the runners has to reflect on the coaches.
Agreed. This org needs some serious upgrading. Players and coaches...

If Arenado wants to stay it’ll be interesting to see if he can transform his game AND be a leader?

Milwaukee brings in pitcher #4.

They have gotten 14 outs with a little help from the Cardinals 1 GIDP, 1 SO/CS, and an out trying to stretch a single into a double, so really 11 outs.

There has definitely been a severe drop off in leadership.

4 degrees launch angle.

It is often at least 10 degrees higher in Dallas.

Walker, Texas Ranger?

He is what he is at this point of his career Cuse. Colorado got the best of his career. We got the back end but his D is still top notch. Nobody in our system can play D at his level and his bat isn't much worse than most of the team. With his salary and no trade clause, he's gonna be a Cardinal next year.

Agree
I think the earliest he could be moved is at the deadline next year.

115 runs below average right here. Just replace them all with an average player
-27 Walker - to AAA; replace with Church; much higher floor.
-24 Pallante - move to mopup, innings eating middle reliever; TRADE NOOTBAR AND GORMAN FOR A STARTING PITCHER
-13 Fernandez - add AAAA depth so he can stay in AAA
-12 Gorman - trade; replace with Wetherholt
-10 Fedde - already traded; replaced with McGreevy
-10 Mikolas - exit via FA; replace with Mathews
-10 Graceffo - to AAA; replaced by Pallante
-9 King - trade or nontender; replace with Raquet
-8 Roycroft
