It is a risk you take .. by playing back a slow or medium grounder right at an infielder has you conceding the lead run scoring . So you take a shot that a grounder may be hit right at one of the infielders. Would not say it never works .
Listen with 0 outs the odds the reds don’t drive the run in is very low. I’d much rather concede the run than let a would be 6-3 become a hit
Usually that's true especially if it is in the 1st inning, 2nd you concede the run for you have a lot of the game left.
When it's tied later in the game, the strategy changes some as there are not many innings left. So that factors into the decision. Nothing wrong with your strategy either .

LOL
I can’t stand watching games in the Little League Stadium!
Prediction:
The Reds never win anything playing in this joke of a ballpark.
Go Cards!

A 3-2 batting practice fastball. Weird. Well coached. Well played. A roster of 26 players that have zero taste of winning.

Couldn't tell from the replay. Did Church have a chance on that HR ball?

I would send him out for the sixth, but bet he brings in Svanson.
I would definitely give him the chance to get through 6.
Shocked, but would like to see him get through six. Looks like he is managing like i am thinking, but looks like a bad idea now. Compounding by sending in Alcala, who is pretty sketchy.
Is this the inning the wheels fall off?

Oli does not need my help. He can pick loser pitchers without my help. Geez!

Looked like Walker gave up on that ball early, waited for Church to make the play after a long run. Walker sucks, I hope he hits a HR next inning.

It barely got over but he wasn't there.
