Helsley only is 21 for 26 in saves and is lucky it and his era isnt worse with a 1.39 whip. He really hasnt been that great this year

First of all war likes to look at overall pitching rather than results of win or loss or sv.
Secondly- 21 of 26 isnt that amazing for a closer. Its around 80%. The majority of setup men relievers if thrust into the closer role could put up 80%(they have save bad sv%because they get blown saves for blown leads in 6 7th and 8th but only a hold and not a sv for keeping the lead making it impossible for nonclosers to have good sv%. But weve seen it time and time again. Whenever a teams closer fails, they usually find one of their setupmen to step in and get the job done. Like we did with mott, like we did with mujica, like we did with franklin.
Lastly, only 6 of helsleys 21 saves were games where he entered with a 1 run lead. Not all saves are of equal difficulty.
