Let me know if we ever get back to playing for Pennants and World Series.
You are like a broken record. Your schtick is as old as Shady’s.

I thought of a Rip Van Winkle analogy for him yesterday.
Take a snooze until the team wins.
Can you imagine having to deal with this whining putz in REAL LIFE???
We’re lucky in that regard.

Cuse could you explain why YOU and Paige and others enjoy losing so much….and go to great lengths to defend, explain, cheer the losing now and into the future? Thanks
Not “defending” anyone:
After years of success MO was clearly not getting the job done!
Change was needed and they made changes!
They plan to build through the Farm System.
That does NOT happen in a FEW MONTHS genius!
For the record...I checked MLB Minor League System Rankings yesterday.
The three I pulled up had the Cards at #4, #8, and #11.
That is a significant improvement and heading in the right direction!
Again....read my lips...this is not an overnight process.
But...after having dealt off Gray/Arenado/WC/Donovan they actually are trending toward having a BETTER record this year than LAST!
Is that not progress?????

Same as above.

That’s more than enough patience. The MLB Team could have been out of this malaise this season if BDW spent some $$. Payroll is 94mil
And as I’ve stated….fixing minor leagues has nothing to do with spending $$ on MLB payroll.
You asked for an answer...I gave it to you in DETAIL!
If you hate the organization and are fed up...no problem!
You are perfectly entitled to YOUR opinion...as are we!
One last question: WHY are you HERE?
None of us on this forum can act as you want THEM to act!
I suggest taking it directly to Bloom and the team.
Whining and crying to us...as many OTHERS have posted to you....has gotten old.
Your ACT is OLD!
I’ll now leave the rest to my fellow posters.
In the meantime I’ll have better luck talking with my refrigerator!

Mo’s strategy wasn’t as bad as many claim it was. We had Goldy and Nado as MVP’s but they totally bombed in the playoffs. Some of the blame is on them. Walker’s learning curve threw a major curve ball last year as well. Selling last year at the trade deadline assured that we didn’t make the playoffs last year. I still have my doubts that Oli has the grit necessary to be a winner. Had Bloom not extended him and hired Pujols or Molina and added a couple more pieces this year would have been. Had we committed to 150,000,000 payroll where we would be now? Attendance would be up if we had a couple more horses in the race.
I’m not a Mo apologetic but GoldFan is correct in that we should be further along in the rebuild if more $ was invested. We have 93 million in payroll but the roster has less than 60 million that we’re paying. Kyle Tucker costs more than our entire squad. That’s absurd!
Hopefully clearing the books will allow for the organization to lock in Walker and Winn to long term deals. Which will be good for the long run. Wetherholt, Walker and Winn provide a formable core. In a couple more years we could be potentially be adding Raniel Rodriquez and Joshua Baez to the core with a potential pitcher or two with long term commitments.
Meanwhile, we should be trying to add some bullpen arms and another starting pitcher and pushing for the playoffs now. We should be trading away the Liberatore, Pages, Crooks, Scott’s, Fermin, Uriah’s of the world. Not the Herrera, May’s and Nootbaars. IMHO.

I disagree spending a bunch of money just to be spending a bunch of money doesn’t help the rebuild at all. Fans said they need a right fielder walker sucks they now know that walker doesn’t suck and they have a right fielder. Fans said pallante sucks he’s not a starter he should be a reliever same with lehay they now know that the fans were wrong and they both can be pretty good back end of the rotation starters. Same with mcgreevy he’s looking like a legitimate middle of the rotation starter so three starters identified going forward. They wanted to see if Libby could build on last season and take a step forward they are learning he isn’t and shouldn’t be a starter. They found out Gorman isn’t the answer at third and that blaze probably isn’t either so they will need a third baseman. They learned Scott isn’t the answer in center and church probably isn’t either so need a center fielder. They are learning crooks probably isn’t the answer at catcher. They have found out a lot of what they need and where they need to spend the money instead of being stupid and spending money in the offseason for a shot at the usual one and done post season appearance. They handled it very well and it’s a good thing bloom operates off of Cole calculated reason instead of just emotion like most fans which would just lead to years of continued mediocrity

With the news about Q. Mathews today coupled w/the hugfest last night I wonder if a deal is close and the acquiring team just wanted one more look at May before it's finalized?

If there was a deal even remotely close to being finalized, he would not have pitched at all tonight.
Players (including pitchers) are removed from games due to trades. Strange to remove him after 5 innings with literally no problems.
It was their compromise. He'd given some good innings, was not blown up and came out healthy. Except for resting the BP, there was little left to prove.
Maybe winning the game should've been in play?
It's not like they gave up. If I felt they were a playoff team and not just hope they somehow sneak in only to be bounced quickly I might care. But I know taking May out an inning or two early in a rebuild season is less risky than leaving him in too long and risking his trade value.
Exactly. A number of posters can't seem to understand that. Sure it's more fun to be winning and in contention, but it's going to take a lot of work for the front office and patience on the fans part to get there and to stay there.
Why would it take all this work and patience. BDW slashed payroll by 80mil. Quick and easy fix. BUY THE MISSING SPOTs for starting lineup.
EC keeps bringing up Cubs…..they didn’t win until they spent money. Payroll last year was 225mil and it’s higher this year.
The only reason the team and fans have to sit through this debacle is BDW is cheap. Where is it written that drafting and Trading= not spending money
One thing has nothing to do with the other. If WC and Gray were here and still and they had a real manager on payroll this team would be fighting for division.
Hear! Hear!

Ozz, it has yet to be proven whether this rebuild will succeed or fail. We could very well be stuck in continued sub-mediocrity or become Pittsburgh.

Fact: From Tampa Bay to the Dodgers, every successful team needs a strong farm system.
Fact: Cardinals didn't have a strong farm system.

Bloom building up the farm system is table stakes to competing...

Ozz, it has yet to be proven whether this rebuild will succeed or fail. We could very well be stuck in continued sub-mediocrity or become Pittsburgh.
Well it’s been already proven the just squeak in and pray for miracles approach has failed it leads to being mired in mediocrity and not being a post season threat even when they squeak in so continuing to repeat that strategy is crazy. When what you’re doing is failing and continuing to fail you’ve got to try fresh tactics or you’re just going to continue to fail the cardinals were never going to be able to spend their way out of the hole mo dug any one who thinks they could have is burying their heads in the sand

Anyone wonder why BP is toast…….
It's not. Look up bullpen usage in MLB and tell us where the Cards are ..
Svanson
41G
7.27ERA
1.754WHIP

Stanek
46G
4.35ERA
1.452WHIP

Now why would those firestarters need to be used so much???
You made a claim and I asked you for proof
Cards are 16th in the league for reliever innings pitched.

https://www.mlb.com/stats/team/pitching ... d?split=rp
This is supposed to be good when you have like 1 or 2 reliable BP arms??? Context Scouty context
Dip [shirt], you claimed Oli overuses his bullpen
They rank 16th in innings pitched.
You're not only menopausal, but dumb

For many years now it’s always been some other agenda.
Legacy Tours
Contracts Must Play
Finding Out If Youths Can Play
Showcasing Talent For Other Teams

Let me know if we ever get back to playing for Pennants and World Series.
You are like a broken record. Your schtick is as old as Shady’s.
Will make you a deal. When we get back to playing for a pennant or World Series, we will send you a note-you don’t have to watch or read this until then.
Hey Satch....LOL
I thought of a Rip Van Winkle analogy for him yesterday.
Take a snooze until the team wins.
Can you imagine having to deal with this whining putz in REAL LIFE???
We’re lucky in that regard.
I do love his emojis though!!
😳😢😂😉🤡🤪🤮👍🙄😄🥺😅👋🙃🙂
Like others have posted to you at LENGTH:
You are a whining crybaby with zero guts or backbone!
You are entitled to your opinion and if you HATE the organization you are entitled to that opinion!
But....a number of us DON’T!
There is my answer. I’m sure you will come with some whining crybaby (bleep) and a bunch of emojis!
😳😢😂😉🤡🤮🤪👍🙄😄🥺😅👋🙂🙃
Its funny that he cried and whined for years about mos sustained mediocrity strategy of just squeak in and pray for miracles then as soon as mo leaves he now does a .180 and loves the sustained mediocrity and pray foe miracles approach. But thats what he does. Hated the signing of contreras and gray whined and cried they sucked and were overpaid whined and cried for two years how they sucked and were overpaid not worth their contracts as soon as they were traded he said theyre great stupid to trade them and theyre worth their contracts. Same with may and stanek hated their signings said they sucked after mays first two starts when he got bashed he was posting about blooms 12 million dollar man who sucks mocked stanek too now theyre about to be traded and now suddenly theyre good and he whines and cries they are going to be traded. He cried and whined the cardinals are cheap and aren’t going to keep players and will trade them when arbitration eligible cards sign jj to a 100 million contract proving that false and now he whines and cries it was dumb to sign jj to an extension because it hurt the teams feelings lol
Oz....the guy is a mess!
I wish him no ill will in his personal life.
And BTW....can you IMAGINE dealing with him in person? 😳
Whining and crying does seem deeply ingrained into his personality since that’s all he does so unlike Fermin or Torres goldfan would definitely not be considered a vibe guy he would be a get this guy out of here he drags everyone down with his whining and crying guy
Is this a real conversation in CT??? Do you 2 goofballs understand this is a BASEBALL FORUM……WHATEVER opinion I type here about Cards Baseball is in no way some research material for your armchair psych evaluation.
WTH is wrong with you 2??
I push your buttons and have a little fun with my BASEBALL talk…..and you’re wondering about my personal life???
Hate to break it to you….I’m heading to lake for weekend with family and friends….I’ll be offline….don’t worry about me too much
