Yeah I don't ever remember him being a full blown centerSTL fan in MN wrote: ↑14 May 2026 16:24 pmCorrect. Stammer has played mostly on the wing the last 3-4 years now. He’s still good at faceoffs though so makes sense to use him there but then he switches to wing after the draw as he’s just not a very good C defensively. Was never his strong suit but now that he’s in his mid-30s, it makes more sense to use him as a top line with not having to worry much about defense.

I mean looking at line combos, he’s easily a 2C on a lot of teams. He’d be a winger on Buffalo. He’s not better than Tage Thompson, Konsta Helenius, or Josh Norris.
Carolina he’s a winger or doesn’t even make the team.

I know it’s hard to accept being wrong right now. But I’m sure you’ll be fine.
In one of your previous lists you said kogan stankoven. Tell me again how stankoven is a better center and how thomas wouldnt make the team. Stankoven only plays center because carolina ALSO doesnt have a true 2c. Aho might not be the 1c with thomas. But you know all of this.
Thomas isn’t in the same stratosphere as Aho or Stankoven, and they won’t play him over their captain.

I can’t help that you don’t like facts.
And while I’d expect most to rank Aho a little above Thomas, they’re definitely in the same tier of good two-way, pt/game 1Cs that are both a tier below the top guys like McDavid, MacKinnon etc.
He’s the leading scorer for a conference final bound team.

I wonder if there is a remedial PuckPedia course Rollin’ could sign up for in order to actually understand what he is reading?Walter Sobchak00 wrote: ↑14 May 2026 19:52 pmHe has a career high 44 point season.. he's not even close to being on the same tier as Thomas.. its not even close.Rollin' on the River wrote: ↑14 May 2026 19:48 pmAnd why don’t you put Stankoven above him?STL fan in MN wrote: ↑14 May 2026 19:43 pmI really like Stank for the player he is but nobody in their right mind would remotely rank him above Thomas.Rollin' on the River wrote: ↑14 May 2026 17:37 pmCarolina’s listed centers are Aho, Stankoven, and Staal.Younghopp1991 wrote: ↑14 May 2026 17:16 pmMy narrative is that you are naming primary wingers and saying they would be the primary center OVER robert thomas.Rollin' on the River wrote: ↑14 May 2026 15:25 pmI’m sorry I destroyed your narrative with research and facts.Younghopp1991 wrote: ↑14 May 2026 15:23 pmWhy would i take it up wirh puck pedia? Dallas, Nashville, Tampa, Oilers, just off the top of my head. Where he’d be a 3C.
Tampa? I'll give you Point but Thomas and him are very close. Thomas is better than Cirelli
And again - your claim was Thomas is a 2c on the most teams. Shocker you can't name those teams...
I disagree on Cirelli.
and I already NAMED the teams last week.
I mean looking at line combos, he’s easily a 2C on a lot of teams. He’d be a winger on Buffalo. He’s not better than Tage Thompson, Konsta Helenius, or Josh Norris.
Carolina he’s a winger or doesn’t even make the team.

He's only got 1 point in his last 3 games.. does he now stink?STL fan in MN wrote: ↑14 May 2026 20:19 pmSo a guy with an 8 game hot streak is all of a sudden better than Thomas just because he’s on a Cup contending team even though his career high is 44 pts?? Re: Kyrou trade speculation to ottawa
This guy doesn't just die on a hill....he has to build the hill chunk by chunk by chunk before he dies on it.
This is like round 4 with OLD Rollin doin his thing.
Soon we might hear what a great doctor he is. Or was.
It's ok to be wrong dude. I suggest you just accept that and not just once either.
You wanna change.....well then that means you gotta change your ways.

Carolina: Thomas is a #2 C and #1 some nights
Colorado- He's #2 ahead of Nelson at his age.
Dallas Thomas is their #1 C Wyatt Johnson isn't the defensive C and scores a lot on the PP not a 5v5 #1 C. Hintz has never been a point per game player.
Florida- He's their #2 C none of Florida's C's number compare to Thomas other than Barkov
Devils Thomas is a #2 C. Hischier has never been a point per game player
Islanders Thomas is their #1 C and they are moving either Horvat or Barzal to the wing.. Barzal has played primarily as a W for years now.
Rangers Thomas is their #1 C and they are moving Miller or Z to the wing.. Miller has had 2 good seasons and made a career out of it.
Ottawa #1 C as Stutzle can't match up against another teams top line. Neither Cozens or Pinto have come close to a point per game pace.
Philadelphia #1 C he's way ahead of anyone on the Flyers Zegras has played primarily wing and hasn't ever sniffed a point per game and is terrible defensively. Dvorak has a career high 51 points..
SJ-He's their #2 C.. he's leaps and bounds ahead of Misa and Smith (who was moved to W).
Toronto #2.. way ahead of JT at this point in his career
VGK- #2 C Hertl just ended a 23 game goalless streak and was never good defensively.
Wash- #1 C and its not even close. Strome has had 1 point per game season and that was an outlier compared to the rest of his career.
The only thing you are basing your comments on must be "I don't like Thomas"
