Yes this. It's like pending a physical. The trade wouldn't be this far along if he wasn't going to approve. There likely has to be official written and signed.consent turned in and notorized to protect a players decision for it to be official. It's more of a technicality but even on word a player can change his mind last minute.

I’m frankly shocked! Did anybody have Colt 55 on the scorecard for being traded! It was explained by Jamie Rivers that they probably wanted the stability of him having three more years on his contract. Unlike Faulk who has only one.
After hearing this, I have a feeling that we have follow X Blues players will be rooting for about four more teams at playoff time
