Broberg and Holloway have both played well and actual fans are happy about that. Anything either of them do that's positive makes a few folks wig out. The trolls typically resort to any positive play with drivel like:Barksdale's People wrote: ↑01 Nov 2024 09:56 am The title seems way pre-mature. But it's clear him doing absolutely anything positive makes some people really insecure so I get it.
Things couldn't have gone any better with Broberg thus far, consistency is what I'm watching for this year. Especially if the team sinks.
"The Blues haven't played anyone yet"
"_______ is getting sheltered minutes"
"The (insert team the Blues played) didn't play physical against ________"
"They're playing over their heads, just wait"
The mental gymnastics the trolls perform to justify their opinions is a real treat to see!

theograce wrote: ↑03 Nov 2024 12:36 pmHe’s 23.5. As an example, pietrangelo was leading the club in ice at 21-22 and playing playoffs. 80 games doing that.
Hedman and Doughty were doing more than Broberg with more responsibility when they were 19.
Yeah but. You can't get responsibility if you have no place. And No I don't think Brobe is comparable to those players.
Odd to use them, being at different ages, as a example of 'knowing how to take a hit.
Personally. I think most when given a task, and a understanding of what's wanted. Can get it done and become better. No matter if they are 18 or 33. I also think that most failures of getting what's needed can be brought back to a coaches ability to educate, on the players level. More then a players overall abilities.

Pietrangelo is like 25th overall for even strength points. That’s all time hairy. He outperforms guys like Doughty at ES and always has. He’s a defensive giant and Broberg couldn’t hold one of his nuts defensively.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑04 Nov 2024 10:16 am SO FAR, VERY EARLY Brobie looks like he has the potential for more. Yeah I'd say 10-games into a season is "early".

Yes it is early, but it is ok to be hopeful!

Actually kind of funny! Petro is 28th, right behind Ryan Suter at 27 lol.theograce wrote: ↑04 Nov 2024 12:09 pmPietrangelo is like 25th overall for even strength points. That’s all time hairy. Petro is a possible hall of famer, mostly due to his hockey accomplishments outside of the NHL, imo. But he never has lived up to his offensive potential. Every once in a while he steps up his game to near elite level and you think maybe this will be the year where he breaks through, but alas he has never been able to consistently keep any offensive production. He is above average in all aspects of the game, but just isnt elite in any.
Re: ITS EARLY but is Broberg the Blues best dman since Pronger/Mac
Suter has played 426 more games. What’s funny about that. Pietrangelo is right up there with the heavy hitters at ES and played with a lot less talent than many.StlFanInVA wrote: ↑04 Nov 2024 18:05 pmActually kind of funny! As for never living up to offensive potential … he has exceeded it. 700 points as a dman is almost guaranteed HOF
Nevermind all the winning, leading and playoff/international success.
He won more than Pronger…more than MacInnis. Blues fans might not see another guy like this in their lives.

Then again, we might. Not something to lose sleep over, there was about 20 years between Barc and Pronger and we survived.theograce wrote: ↑04 Nov 2024 18:16 pmSuter has played 426 more games. No. Stupid post. Can you let the guy do it for 10 years?

When you have an agenda driven troll who has true mental issues it's actually pretty easy to follow along and predict what he's going to do.
He's been banned here multiple times.
He has multiple accounts he pulls up when he's in his manic phase.
He should not even be here on this forum if not for a PD staff that won't deal in the reality of the obvious.
So....we all pay the price because they give him is platform to perform his lifes only ambition.
