once they're fitted for their own person ABS, we'll get an accurate height...probably in a few weeks if he plays in PMB. They use ABS

His stats are solid - solid pop w/ 14 homers in 51 games - good BA but does not draw many walks and does not strike out much. Does not seem to steal bases and seems like he plays 3 infield positions.

Jared Jones has 22 HRs and an OPS of 1.027 for LSU. He's still available.
1.027 OPS with an Aluminum bat doesn't knock my knees....just sayin'
If they all use aluminum bats, isn't it relative between players?
Ethan Young. Unranked by MLB.com
But had an ERA of 3.84 with 92 Ks in 70.1 innings. Sensible pick this time. They sure are drafting for pitching.
The answer is yes, with everyone using the same, regulated aluminum bats, the stats are homogeneous.
Based on some research, it says:
The regs strive to make them very similar to wood bats using the BBCOR (Batted Ball Coefficient of Restitution) standard. This new BBCOR standard effectively requires non-wood bats (metal and composite) to produce batted ball speeds no greater than wood
I think the aluminum or composite bats still hit it harder, but again, you're comparing apples to apples with players all using it.

According to the Stanford site: he is 6'1 194, for what that's worth.
for the 2025 season: GP 51, AB 221, 14 HR, 42 RBI, .326.

With all the talk of a generational pick for cards, did they play it too safe, trying to make sure they didn’t completely miss? Hernandez would have been the swing for the fences pick…
Franklin is not an example of "playing it too safe".
He is a high risk / high reward lottery ticket.
I was referring to Doyle, with their generational hasn’t happened in 27 years drafting this early pick.
Got it.
I thought you were referring to the overall strategy.
Doyle was unquestionably a very good pick.
Given the general condition of pitching depth (more correctly, the last thereof) in the organization, and considering all the starting pitchers they will lose in the next 27 months, it would have been incredibly stupid to not pick a top college arm and instead draft a far bigger question mark who would not be ready to contribute for 5 years or so.
Hernandez and Doyle are 2 years apart at 19 and 21, both June birthdays. How is one 5 years away, and the other so close to ready?
Granted, 3 years of college is a big boost for LD, but given Hernandez's age and ability, he'd likely be in the bigs in 2 years or so, not 5.

Please pick Henry Ford from UVA.
As a writer joked: "Henry Ford fits the Cards' model to a T."
