I do not think it would be in the Cardinals best interest to consider such a trade as this.

No.

Harper could contribute immediately in 2026, and maybe 2027. Those would be training years for Wetherholr. But you keep Wetherholt for his potential longer-term benefit

I’m thinking JJ may see third base. Then we might see the next George Brett.

If not, then he may have a Tommy Herr type year, mucho doubles.

Throw in Roby so we can get Sanchez and Schwarber too! Or would we be giving up too much??

Was this supposed to be a serious question or just a joke? Either way, it's just stupid

Bryce Harper might be the most overrated player of his generation. He had one great season, nearly 10 bWAR but other than that has had only two others with even a 5 bWAR. He's now relegated to being a below average 1B, has never led his team to a World Series title and is about to enter his mid 30's. To even entertain the notion of giving up the best prospect in the organization in years is preposterous.

lol... he is a future HOFer.

I would not trade JJW for him at this stage, but let's not downgrade a future HOFer.

He’s 33 on tail end of career

Contract at 25 mill goes through 2032

He has NTC. No way he would go to cardinals.

Dumb, dumb dumb.
Harper can still slug with the best of them. What's Sosa making? 25 million/year for Harper would be a bargain.
Well let's take a look at Sammy Sosa's BR page. Looks like his last contract was league minimum ($500k) from the Texas Rangers as a 38 year old back in 2007. But he did make $17m from the Orioles in 2005! Does that help frame the Harper debate??

How 'bout we trade Shady's worthless (bleep) for Toby Koon and a troll to be named later?

No, please be better. His own GM Dombrowski just acknowledged on record Bryce wasn't elite currently

No sane person would even realistically consider this inane perposal! Hes just doing it for the attention.
Don’t respond and he’ll, eventually, go away!
That's not a novel idea. In fact, I have proposed ignoring me for some. But many of them just can't seem to do it. It's seems to be more their issue than mine.

If you would stop maliciously spamming the forum, everyone would ignore you. But you already know that.

Yorkie, please just simply ignore my posts. Nothing to it. By the way, there are many good posts on the thread's subject. Quit just trying to stir up trouble.

It's just exploring a possible way to get a much needed superstar slugger. I'd be happy to entertain any other suggestions. But they are few and far between. Many posters would rather just try to bash others that try to be creative.

So you wouldn't like to have Harper batting 3rd on opening day for the Cardinals. Moving Burleson down to a more practical spot in the lineup. Probably 5 or 6.
