Trade Donovan and jojo for the best package bloom can get
Trade Arenado but don't give him away
Sign Quintana
Dangle Liberatore...and see what young RH power hitting OF might be available ..
Burleson and ? for benge
They don’t need any return on Arenado. They need rid of him and will have to pay to do it.
Are you talking about Jose Quintana? Why?
Why trade Sonny Gray and then want Quintana? Then you want trade a young Libatore? Lmfao.
Because you get a young MLB pitcher and a high upside young pitcher while saving 20M when you send away Gray. When you bring in Quintana, you spend about 4M of the savings and replace Gray's innings, if not fully his production. At the deadline, if Quintana is traded you get another player back and save 1/3 of his salary. I would be surprised if you didn't already know these things.
I’m down with that. I thought people were talking about how to improve the team now.

Call up the Dodgers and see if they’d want Donny and JoJo for Andy Pages. Trade Pedro Pages or Crooks, Nado and $10 million to Philly for Alec Bohm. Sign Randall Grichuk to be the 4th OFer and play against lefties. Sign one of John Means or Tyler Mahle to flip for prospects at the deadline. Sign a lefty reliever, one of Joey Lucchesi or Danny Coulombe. Start Walker in AAA.
Catcher: Herrera/Crooks or Pages
1st: Burly/Gorman
2nd: JJ/Gorman
3rd: Bohm/Gorman
SS: Winn
LF: Noot
CF: Victor Scott
RF: Pages
DH: Gorman/Bohm
1. Grichuk (corner OF/DH)
2. Crooks
3. Saggese (2nd, 3rd, SS)
4. Fermin
1. May
2. Means/Mahle
3. Libby
4. McGreevy
5. Leahy/Fitts (Dobbins when he’s back from injury)
LR: Pallante
LR: Graceffo
MR: Fernandez
MR: Pushard
MR: Leahy/Fitts
SU: Lucchesi or Coulombe
SU: O’Brien/Svanson
CL: O’Brien/Svanson
If they aren’t in the race at the deadline then trade Bohm, Noot, May, Means/Mahle and Lucchesi/Coulombe for prospects to make way for whoever’s ready to take their spots.
Nice work. So many call for trades but do no research or work on the actual solution.
Thanks! I don’t know if any of them would actually work out, just messed around with some stuff.

Because I don't think Liberatore develops into anything further than what he is now.....curious as to how other teams view him and what he could bring back...Quintana is cheap and will fill innings...and if pitching well...then you can trade him around the deadline..Bloom has some different avenues he could take...same with trading Burleson...why would you want to trade a young Burleson...there are a few reasons why ...as some on here have already mentioned ....

Let’s trade JJ. He could probably land some good players for the future. Maybe get some old guys too incase they get lucky and pitch good enough to get traded at the deadline. Maybe they pitch good enough at the deadline that you are fighting for a playoff spot, then what do you do? Keep him or trade him? When does it end?

These scenarios are I guess fun to talk about but they are just that. That Dodgers trade idea was a CT invention because someone went to BTV and concocted it. IF that trade was available to us how many here believe that it wouldn’t have already happened. The third Boston trade idea was also a CT concoction using BTV. I guess they are fun to think about but we shouldn’t take them too seriously.
Patience is a virtue and I don’t have a lot of it but all we can do is wait and see what happens. I hope the market for Donovan is what is being proposed on here. If we get a starting pitcher, a starting 3B, a starting outfielder plus a good pitching prospect from the Dodgers for Donovan + then sign me up but we should realize that these “proposals” are CT inventions with little supporting evidence.
The only evidence we kinda have was the Woo article that said that Seattle and SF were the front runners for Donovan and she mentioned the players she heard were involved in those discussions. The SF proposal wasn’t very good. The Seattle proposal was interesting but most wanted a little more. As tough as it is to wait and see, it’s all we can do.
What is BTV?
Baseball trade value. Its a website that measures various metrics including contracts and the y assign players a numeric value. Some people give it more accuracy than others. Whatever you think, the trades these days genreally add up fairly close to their assigned values. Used to be free now it's a pay site. You can work around it if you really want to know their values.
Thanks. I appreciate the info.

I'm saying as in core...Bloom I'm sure is looking at say Winn...JJ...Herrera....maybe has one of the young catchers he believes will be the catcher of the future...those are the guys he wants to add to...if he doesn't see Burleson ...nootbar....Liberatore as part of the core to build around....then he could trade them for a future 3b...Of....top shelf pitching prospect ....JJ you don't trade when your in the position the cards are in...and you already know that...I hate the position they are in but it is what it is...hopefully bloom puts together a future winner....I much prefer 2004...being really good and adding a Larry Walker ...lol

BP - Svanson
BP - Romero
BP - O’Brien
BP - Leahy
BP - Graceffo
BP - Raquet
BP - Thompson
BP - Pallante
I think Pushard (rule 5), Kent, Shuster (LH), and Blewett will be more likely than some of these names.

Trade JJ? LOL. That would totally defeat the purpose of what Bloom is trying to do.

I like Andy Pages, but what should we take from the fact he is absolutely terrible in the Playoffs?
.114/.151/.214/.365 w/17 SO in 24 Playoff Games.
Sure, lots of experience before the age of 25 and he was very good last season. However, he is surrounded by studs and his value may have peaked?
Take away whatever you want. It’s a pipe dream to think the cards can get Andy Pages. I’ve seen that posted so many times. Pages for Donovan. It’s a joke. Plus it creates another hole for the Dodgers. Crazy talk.
