dont remember you ever saying that during the pitcher revolt , that he will only catch this season so what is the big deal, or that goldy is gone no matter what type season he has....so, I have also questioned this before with even better logic as to why it makes sense you never did. So, feel free to show us.

Others here remember and have confirmed I made that exact prediction at the time he was signed.
Contreras was signed to catch until PG's contractor - at which time he would move to 1B.
That was the plan from the moment the contract was signed - even though I was the only person who correctly understood it at the time.

All the while we have seen ‘leaders’ Goldy and NA sleepwalk through lost years—-never WC.

I don’t get it either other than there is obvious frustration over missing the playoffs three straight seasons.
I admit that we(and notice I include myself in WE) are probably a bit spoiled with the above average success of the team in my lifetime.
High expectations in St. Louis!
If they find a good trade partner great but a big part of me hopes he stays!

In all honesty, I still hope they trade him. I think he can get a good return. But that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate what he’s done.
