I'm not happy about reposting this. Blame certainly isn't solely on Binnington but it sure seems our team does not play as well with Binner in the goal. Evidently, this is just a very bad team. Sad.

I think it's clear to all that goaltending isn't the primary problem. We just have a team that only skates with intensity for half of one period and scrambles to play defense the rest of the game. We don't spend enough time in the OZone. Forechecking and body slamming seems to be our only offensive strategy. The team is pretty bad. We are slow, don't consistently skate with intensity and have no offensive strategy. Players either won't do what Monty wants, can't do what Monty wants or doesn't know what Monty wants. Does Monty know?

Imagine a basketball team that brings the ball up court into the OZone and the other players aren’t available to pass to. That’s what I see. They stand there hoping someone passes to them instead of getting open to receive a pass. They should be constantly moving to wear down the defense and keep the ball or puck in position to score. Instead we play 70% of the game in the DZone and when we finally gain the puck we go off for a line change and the puck holder has no options. We need to control the puck in the OZone for at least 50% of the game, preferably more. I truly believe that our players pass to the opposing players at least 50 times per game. That won’t work.

I'd give Broberg 8x8 in a heartbeat right now. Cap is going up as are salaries, he's not going to get any cheaper.

Predicting the Blues are going to have an "implosion" isn't exactly a ringing endorsement of your intelligence, but since they won a Cup in 19 and were primed to repeat before Covid hit if you've been predicting it for a decade now I guess we chalk that up as something else you got wrong.
