With the maga billions owner I wonder if each player will have his own personal hitting coach.
The Cardinals have had more than one hitting coach each of the last 3 seasons

His stated reasons for them leaving were quickly disproven by Maddux and Albert’s actions. Surely you can see and acknowledge that??
it’s just mo saying they had their own different reasons for leaning. And why did Albert take the job? He had been in the minors and was offered a promotion to the majors
Uh, that’s just not true. He was in the minors his first time with St Louis and went to Houston. He returned to St Louis with a major league job.

You can stop spouting nonsense anytime
You’re an idiot he was the Mets organization director of hitting for the minor leagues and received a promotion to over see the majors hitting program so stop spouting nonsense lol and his actions don’t disprove anything you’re just a clown grasping at straws and I will acknowledge you have no facts and are just making things up
Yep.
Yep to what, exactly? Do you believe the same made up narrative that Ozzie does? If so, why?

I don’t know why you have this wrong.

Jeff Albert was most certainly in the majors with the Cardinals, not the minors. He left St Louis for a team investing properly in player development. It had nothing to do with social media criticism. Him going to New York is proof enough of that… it’s super weird that you’d continue to believe it when the truth has already hit you in the face.
I dont know why you have this wrong he left st louis went to the mets has been in the mets organization since 2023 as director for player hitting development in the minor leagues and was just now promoted to oversee the majors hitting program. He got a promotion its not hard to find this stuff out I dont know why you continue to be willfully wrong.

You’re going off on some weird tangent on things not in question.

You said Jeff Albert left St Louis because he couldn’t handle social media criticism. It isn’t true. I get why you’re trying to distance yourself from that, though.

I’m not trying to distance myself from anything. You’re the conspiracy theorist who thinks Albert lied mo lied all the reporters who talked to him lied yea everybody lied and old friend is right lol he couldn’t handle the criticism as he said left thought he could another major league job elsewhere it didn’t happen so he had to take a job in the Mets minor leagues worked their from 2023-2025 was offered the promotion and took it because it beats still toiling away in the minor leagues. But hey that doesn’t fit your conspiracy theory narrative so you cry about it and continue spouting nonsense and I know your fragile ego needs to get the last word in so go ahead and spout whatever nonsense you want to so you can have the last word

Data shows losing hitting coach Jeff Albert undermined the Cardinals' offense

There’s a lot more, I don’t have time to spell it all out. He made a meaningful positive impact for the org and they’ve gone backwards since he left.
LMAO...pull %?! No stats given by some twatter. He left after 2022

You got nothing
It’s gotta be a strange way to live to completely ignore or dismiss that which challenges your preconceived notions.
Unless you’re playing in Fenway…..aren’t most pulled fly balls outs?
Pulled fly balls are far and away the best fly balls.

https://blogs.fangraphs.com/the-pulled- ... -underway/
I see they somehow differentiate between fly ball, pop up and linedrive…..do you have the % non-outs for each of these. Does it really matter the arc if one bat strike isn’t more effective at procuring a safe base.
I don’t really know what you’re asking me to explain.

Pulled fly balls do damage. Albert focused intently on swing decisions so that players would be attacking pitchers they could do the most damage with, and that showed up in batted ball data.
You don’t know what I’m asking?? I’d like the data showing that PULLed FLY BALLS somehow produce less outs……Are these pulled fly balls producing some outsized damage over all other types of hits?? If they’re mostly outs who cares. Showing that Pulled Fly Balls are increasing really mean nothing if those hits don’t produce more safe bases than any other type of batted ball
Pulled fly balls have a BABIP in the .450-.500 range. Opposite field and straightaway is .300-.350. So sayeth the lord.
Interesting and odd that BABIP doesn’t include HR……would seem to be a vital data point for Pulled Fly balls..
Agreed, which is one of the reasons the linked Fangraphs article focuses on direct measures of production/damage like wOBA and wOBAcon. What remains unclear is why you chose to introduce frequency stats (like BABIP and “% non-outs”)—which don’t account for severity—into the discussion when AOF’s point (and the accompanying FG article) is about overall productivity by batted-ball type.
I didn’t bring up BABIP. And I read through the fangraphs article again. WOBA assigns a value to BBE….this outcome in article being entirely obviously since most hitters are pull hitters and thats their power. But this still doesn’t answer my question as to % of non-outs. Citing a value stat skewed out power outcomes doesn’t tell me if Pull Fly balls have more safe outcomes than other BBE’s

How do you explain the story Mo told you about Maddux?
