Ending up on a contender and getting a big role (one win away from winning it all) really opened my eyes (and a lot of others). It's a shame I was stuck in Korea for the prospect camp.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑15 Aug 2025 10:05 amThat’s how I see it too. As long as we’re talking the forwards anyway. We may actually have something in Korotky but I don’t see much in either Susuyev or Vorobyov.sdaltons wrote: ↑15 Aug 2025 09:17 amI'm holding on to some hope for Korotky. Do feel like there could be something there. The others...shrug.Hockey Pete wrote: ↑14 Aug 2025 21:18 pm Yet another solid thread derailed by Tampon... Folks, Foe is your friend...
Back to the thread. Korotky getting 30 games as an 18/19 year old in the KHL is a big step forward for the kid, and hopefully shows promise. Vorobyov nailed down a full season, but he's a little longer in the tooth. If he comes to the AHL after his contract, then we'll know he's in consideration for NHL time.
That's all I can say on these two kids...
But Koromyslov may be the best of the bunch. He won’t produce a lot of offense but I see real defensive ability with him. He has 1 year left on his KHL contract so hoping he comes over to N.A. next season.
And yeah, him getting traded was good for him. Gave him a defining role that hopefully extends into this season.
Fun fact: Koromyslov is now the first and only d-man in KHL history to score a goal for 3 different teams in the same season.
I do IT work for the DoD, and was stuck at Osan AB getting a system up and running that hasn't been used in almost 4 years. I did like my place in Itaewon though (great restaurants).
