ENOUGH w/Hence being a starter!

I've been saying now for over two years HE WILL NEVER HOLD UP and should've been converted to the closer role.

And Roby?

Time to move on, the guy will never be anything in MLB.
On Roby. Evidently, you haven't been following his development this season.

He's HURT ALL THE TIME, you haven't been paying attention.
Actually, Roby has been pretty healthy this season.
Actually he's on the IL.........AGAIN!

Memphis:
6 GS
4.02 ERA
1.31 WHiP

Better get a new horse to ride shady
Roby is a stud young pitching talent with a fabulous attitude. I'm making a similar call to the one I made on Burleson. There weren't many that agreed with me on Burleson. Now there are some doubters on Roby. Let's see how it plays out.
1) Nobody is questioning Roby’s “potential” talent
or attitude. The question is and has been his health.
2) Give it a rest with Burleson! Fine you were excited about Burleson as a “potential” hitter but were NOT alone in that! I like Burleson also but how about pumping the brakes a bit?
He had a strong first half in 2024 and tailed off after the break. Fingers crossed that won’t happen this year. I like what I see.
3) And for all your giddiness in taking some form of credit for the emergence of Burleson I also seem to remember you going overboard over other players in the past??
Gorman for one stands out!
Now you can’t wait to jettison Gorman.

If you want a pat on the back every day over Burleson then OWN UP to your OTHER predictions that DON’T pan out!
It works both ways!
You sound eerily similar to ME-ville the Sideshow Clown who nauseates everybody with his narcissistic [nonsense] every day but mysteriously runs and hides when he’s made a complete fool out of himself. LOL
Don’t forget Drew Rom and Roddery Munoz, too. Saggese had his moment with Shady as well.
Flavor of the month??
I guess the organization knows what they are doing.
Didn’t someone want Roby promoted and put in the rotation a few weeks ago???
Patience grasshopper!

I don't recall even Melville touting Burleson as early as I did. Only a handful, at the time, on CT felt like I did regarding his immense MLB hitting potential. I feel Burleson's best baseball days are still ahead of him. Now I'm touting Roby's immense pitching talent. Let's hope Roby's MLB production is similar to Burly's.

"immense"

As in Burly's waist line?

Certainly not his career .265 .315 .418 .732 slash line.

So you want Roby to be a mediocre player? Burly’s career OPS+ is 102. Career bWAR of 1.9 over 360 games. Not very nice of you to wish that on Roby.

It's humorous to see the CT posters still in denial over the Cardinals' regular 3 or 4 batter in their lineup.
