Re: Roby and Hence Injured Again
Good grief
ENOUGH w/Hence being a starter!
I've been saying now for over two years HE WILL NEVER HOLD UP and should've been converted to the closer role.
And Roby?
Time to move on, the guy will never be anything in MLB.

On Roby. Evidently, you haven't been following his development this season.rockondlouie wrote: ↑17 Jul 2025 08:48 am Good grief

Re: Roby and Hence Injured Again
I'm also in the Hence to the Pen camp. Middle/Setup guy. See if he can physically handle that. If not DFA and move on.

Re: Roby and Hence Injured Again
We don’t know how long he’ll be out. But yes he made it through a whole half season without going on the IL! Woo hoo! He hasn’t made 20 starts in a season since 2022.Shady wrote: ↑17 Jul 2025 09:55 amActually, Roby has been pretty healthy this season.rockondlouie wrote: ↑17 Jul 2025 09:28 amShady wrote: ↑17 Jul 2025 09:15 amOn Roby. Re: Roby and Hence Injured Again
The 7 day IL is the standard minor league IL. That’s what he has always gone to for his injuries. It doesn’t mean he will only be out 7 days or that it’s not a serious injury.
Re: Roby and Hence Injured Again
Overreacting to just a 7 day stint is no different than everyone else acting like he’s out for the year.
Does anyone know what these two actually had go wrong?
Re: Roby and Hence Injured Again
Roby is a stud young pitching talent with a fabulous attitude. I'm making a similar call to the one I made on Burleson. There weren't many that agreed with me on Burleson. Now there are some doubters on Roby. Let's see how it plays out.rockondlouie wrote: ↑17 Jul 2025 10:26 amActually he's on the IL.........AGAIN!Shady wrote: ↑17 Jul 2025 09:55 amActually, Roby has been pretty healthy this season.rockondlouie wrote: ↑17 Jul 2025 09:28 amShady wrote: ↑17 Jul 2025 09:15 amOn Roby. Re: Roby and Hence Injured Again
I believe it is something shoulder-related for Roby. Don't know if it's related to a past injury. Hope it's just precautionary.PadsFS07 wrote: ↑17 Jul 2025 11:02 amOverreacting to just a 7 day stint is no different than everyone else acting like he’s out for the year.

No he's not a "stud"Shady wrote: ↑17 Jul 2025 12:20 pmRoby is a stud young pitching talent with a fabulous attitude. I'm making a similar call to the one I made on Burleson. He's merely a prospect who's quickly becoming a "suspect" who can't stay healthy.
You've made so many "calls" shady like a blind squirrel you're bound to find a nut at least once.
And while we're all happy to see Burly doing well let's see if his lack of conditioning leads to another poor second half.
Just in case you forgot:
2024 Burleson 1st half
17 HR
53 RBI
.288 .320 .494 .814
2024 Burleson 2nd half
4 HR
25 RBI
.242 .306 .320 .626

1) Nobody is questioning Roby’s “potential” talentShady wrote: ↑17 Jul 2025 12:20 pmRoby is a stud young pitching talent with a fabulous attitude. or attitude. The question is and has been his health.
2) Give it a rest with Burleson! Fine you were excited about Burleson as a “potential” hitter but were NOT alone in that! I like Burleson also but how about pumping the brakes a bit?
He had a strong first half in 2024 and tailed off after the break. Fingers crossed that won’t happen this year. I like what I see.
3) And for all your giddiness in taking some form of credit for the emergence of Burleson I also seem to remember you going overboard over other players in the past??
Gorman for one stands out!
Now you can’t wait to jettison Gorman.
If you want a pat on the back every day over Burleson then OWN UP to your OTHER predictions that DON’T pan out!
It works both ways!
You sound eerily similar to ME-ville the Sideshow Clown who nauseates everybody with his narcissistic [nonsense] every day but mysteriously runs and hides when he’s made a complete fool out of himself. LOL
Re: Roby and Hence Injured Again
Don’t forget Drew Rom and Roddery Munoz, too. Saggese had his moment with Shady as well.Cusecards wrote: ↑17 Jul 2025 12:45 pm1) Nobody is questioning Roby’s “potential” talentShady wrote: ↑17 Jul 2025 12:20 pmRoby is a stud young pitching talent with a fabulous attitude.
