1. Nationals ~ Anderson, LHP, LSU
2. Angels ~ Doyle, LHP, Tennessee
3. Mariners ~ Hernandez, RHP, Corona HS, Calif.
4. Rockies ~ Holliday, SS/3B, Stillwater HS, Okla.
5. Cardinals ~ Willits, SS, Ft. Cobb-Broxton HS, Okla.
6. Pirates ~ Arquette, SS, Oregon St.
^^^THIS^^^

But would love for the Rockies to pass on Matty's boy but they won't, too good a player and marketing opportunity given how popular Matt was in Denver.
Arquette to the Pirates seems way out of the norm for them.
Arnold and Doyle would be the right pick for STL - but if both are gone, I would prefer Arquette over Willits.
Rockies are in a very interesting spot, and it will be interesting to watch.
Since one or more of Anderson, Doyle, Hernandez, or Arnold are guaranteed to be available - that is the group they should choose from.
Which would probably make Holiday available at 5.
That would put the Cardinals in position to take Holiday since the top 4 arms would be off the board.
That said, I do not expect the Rockies to be smart enough to draft pitching if Holiday is on the board.
They will make the PR pick, not the baseball pick.
Very sound reasoning.
Holliday himself MIGHT have upset the top of this draft by his asking price vs what Willits has done
with his asking price. I don't agree with the guess on Arquette as a pick over Willits. If I follow the
reasoning I'd go Irish over Willits.
It's worth plenty. It's what the day is about.
There very well could be a college lean coming from the Cards
here. IF it's a bat Irish could happen. The HS SS are a bit about taste. Parker
would not surprise me much due to more size.

yes, on Irish....for me, fwiw

and that too many SS isn't bad. A player with 25 HR potential is good too.

Good interview with Flores on fan duel and a draft rundown by Pags.
Roll your 'tape' back if you have it

Valid as any POV and understandable.

But if that's a direction to go.
Do you take Parker over Irish who could
also be there?

1.) WAS - SS Eli Wllits
2.) LAA - LHP Kade Anderson
3.) SEA - RHP Seth Hernandez
4.) COL - SS Ethan Holliday
Then they most likely snag Arnold. I wouldn’t be disappointed in that decision.

It be difficult to be too disappointed at least this year.
Rationale to each choice.

Pitcher vs hitter. IF the pitchers left are seen as a #3 or less
I'd go hitter, Irish, Willits, or Parker.
I've yet to vote

Tom Pagnozzi was on the pregame. I recall before it being mentioned he is a big college baseball fan. Arkansas season ticket holder. Talked to him about the draft. Most of the focus was on Arnold. He mentioned the resemblance to Sale, which has been posted in the draft thread. Thought that he and another pitcher were the closest to be in the majors. Maybe as soon as next season. He mentioned how many can get by with two pitches in college but not so much in the majors but that (If I heard him right) Arnold should be able to feature a solid third pitch. Was very high on him.

Since TLR is here, does this mean he's going to help the FO with the draft?

Is Parker expected to be hard to sign?
Idk enough to have a strong opinion, but JoJo intrigues me.

He is simply too far away
Too much risk.

That would be an excellent scenario for STL
2 of the top 4 pitchers to choose from.
