This is a great signing. Very reasonable contract and solidifies a major need.

I agree with this, however.....

We thought Faksa was "stop-gap" too, and then came full-blown "dependence" on him, and then came Bugstadt for 2 more years.

Did Army say that Suter was signed as a "stop-gap"? Did Army even say if he is 2C or 3C or 4C?

I would encourage people to ask yourselves why Army is not telling us what the expectations for Suter are.

Why do you always think that there is some conspiracy? Can't you just be happy with the signing?

He needs it stated somewhere so he can post about it, complain about it, and hopefully point back to it in a “told you so” moment. Instead of having any patience to see how things shake out performance wise and who earns what, this is his game.

Lol there was never "dependence" on Faksa. These narratives are just asinine.

Getting more for your money on a player overperforming is in no way a bad thing. If anything it validates your ability to judge talent. I want to call your attention to the fact that Doug Armstrong has a Dallas connection, this is the same team that drafted Faksa, and I don't think either are coincidences DA knew what Faksa was and made the most of a known NHL Talent.

Not a big fan of this move since Id rather Devi just start his on the job training, but its not that big of a deal since Im willing to bet he’ll be here by midseason as a 3rd line winger at the very least, then onto 2C in due time.

Ok.
Blues were never "dependent" on Faksa. In fact he was kind of a jag before Monty got that line rolling late in the year.

Why would Army say anyone is a "stop-gap"? He traded for Faksa and hoped to re-sign him. Bjudstad was available and agreed to a fair deal. He might even be re-signed if it all works out. Pius Suter will most likely be the 3C, but there's still camp for everything to get figured out.

And Army won't say who is what # of center. Except for the obvious in Thomas. That's Monty's role. And it's also Monty's role to put these players in where they will succeed. Army gives him the tools...with of course a collaboration.

You are reaching for something against Army.
The Blues got better down the middle. End of story.

It's wild to me that someone had the balls to vote for Jordan Kyrou. It had to have been a lost bet, dare, troll job, etc.

The timing makes me think a GM gave Armstrong the heads up that he put on a claim for Leddy, so he knew he could pull the trigger. $4 mil out, a little over $4 mil in.

The locker room attendant is (upset), he had just finished dumping out all of Ryan Suter's name plates & jerseys.

LW C RW
Neighbors Thomas Buch
Holloway Schenn Kyrou
Snuggy, Pius, Devo
Torpo, Nick B, Walker
sunny and Joseph

Trade Texier
No need to trade anyone yet.

Thats 15 forwards competing for 14 spots come training camp, which can only be a good thing.
We may not technically "need" to trade anyone; but I'd imagine there's another move coming once the Leddy situation plays out.
