In my adulterated mind, I feel the only reason to send him down is to get regular pro at bats. Although against AAA pitching, many of the mechanics are the same.

Not a good reason for them to do that BDog even though you're spot on as to why they did it.

As I've pointed out a couple of times Oli could've easily:

Add a couple of Kyle’s - Tucker and Schwarber - and the offense competes with anyone. Who makes up the starting rotation? Do Gorman or Walker have enough value left to net a decent starting pitcher?

Herrera has had ABs in 4 years now Albeit 2 of those were really SSS and the other one was half a season’s worth of PAs. But his OPS has gone up each season, which is promising.

I like the way that Winn has come back from his really slow start this year.
