Zero percent chance he comes back.
The Marmot will be gone sometime this year.
Could you be more specific on your 'sometime this year '
Does that mean during the regular season ? After regular season but prior to end of October ? the 2025 calendar year as late as December ?
Absolutely happy to add further context.
Bloom is evaluating more than players alone right now.
He is evaluating staff.
Additionally, the STL Marketing company is prepping for 2026.
The Marmot decision will not be timed in a vacuum.
Descalso and Jay factor as well - in several ways.
Currently, this is where it all stands:
If STL is ahead of only Colorado in the NL in the coming 30 days, there is a 70% chance of The Marmot being fired somewhere around early June.
If STL is sitting 4 or 5 in the division and 10 games out in mid-July, there is a 90% of him being fired no later than early August.
And, there is a 100% chance of him not surviving beyond October 31.
I disagree. Don't see any way oli is fired in-season.
I
Hopefully, once Mozeliak's pathetic lazy (donkey) is gone, Bloom can bring a competitive spirit back to the organization. That should start with marmol being canned.
I think that it would take what Mel is suggesting for Oli to have the possibility for
a firing. Last place or only ahead of CO.
I think that the reasons for this is actually the sentiment that you gave here.
It isn't working for them. To have that perception around the team and do nothing would
increase the apathy, further decreasing desire to see what they are selling. IMO that's a little
dangerous and would significantly affect 2026 revenues.
Imagine the increased bump if they did bring a higher profile MGR in a demonstrated the still want to win.

Bloom certainly will know by early September ( if not sooner) whether he wishes Oli back for 2026 .
In NFL , dismissals are often announced the day after final game known as Black Monday.
Regardless of returning or being dismissed, how will this go down ?
A. As speculation mounts in September , Mo announces that Bloom will solely make that decision at conclusion of season.
B. Mo announces in late Sept. that he and Bloom jointly decided to have Marmol return for 2026.
C. After season, Bloom announces that he met with Oli and informed him he (Bloom) wants a change thanking Oli for his work during ‘reset’ year.
D. Other
A, then C
I doubt the Chaim regime gives it much thought.

Barring an absolute collapse by the young talent (still very possible), I think we are stuck with Oli through next season given the pending work stoppage.

He is losing revenue with him managing. He has turned off a large segment of the paying customers.

Marmol will be reassigned very soon (one may even say with in 96 hours) after the final game. He will politely and professionally thanked for his contribution and the organization looks forward to working with him in a yet-to-be-determined new role.
I agree with this.
I would not be surprised with this. I think the groundwork was laid in that PD article in the offseason about all of the new hires that Bloom and Cerfolio have brought in. Some line in there about the field coordinator being something that Marmol would be good at.

Apparently this is true...nothing was done in the off season...nice job if you can get it.

There was a time, not so long ago, that 1 guy was doing
this by himself. Where they may all be doing something, you'll have to enlighten
me since yesterday I was told by yourself that Bloom and MO can't consult each other on
moves that may impact the future roster.

Exactly.
It's business.
Is there a move or two that improves that?
I like to believe that there is. Why not attempt to
build momentum vs just allowing it to fade further?

By the trade deadline.

Bringing in an experienced, successful manager would help tremendously. But who in that category would be available or want the job? Unfortunately, I think they've waited too long for that to be a possibility. If they'd done it after 2023, it might have happened.

I disagree. Don't see any way oli is fired in-season. They aren't even concerned about winning. That makes two years in a row where Marmol has been managing stress-free. This is a ridiculous way to run a sports team. And the owners act surprised when fans don't show up. Give me a break. Who runs a business that advertises "Hey, we aren't trying!"?
Hopefully, once Mozeliak's pathetic lazy (donkey) is gone, Bloom can bring a competitive spirit back to the organization. That should start with marmol being canned.
Bloom is stepping into a huge job, as defined by the Cardinals organizational chart. Google “Cardinals Staff Directory” and see all the departments and people listed under that job title.
I'm not following your point. Are you saying it will take years for Bloom to clean this mess up?
