About specific players maybe?
how he met his wife?
where does he buy his suits?
why does he suck at managing?
are there whores on the road trips?
That's all I've got. Thanks in advance!

I just hope that whomever takes Oli's place has a beautiful family!

not sure howramfandan wrote: ↑29 Apr 2025 10:21 am Bloom certainly will know by early September ( if not sooner) whether he wishes Oli back for 2026 .
In NFL , dismissals are often announced the day after final game known as Black Monday.
Regardless of returning or being dismissed, how will this go down ?
A. As speculation mounts in September , Mo announces that Bloom will solely make that decision at conclusion of season.
B. Mo announces in late Sept. that he and Bloom jointly decided to have Marmol return for 2026.
C. After season, Bloom announces that he met with Oli and informed him he (Bloom) wants a change thanking Oli for his work during ‘reset’ year.
D. Other
what I am sure of he needs to be dismissed
great thread Dan

1.) The other day, the Cardinals took 8 called third strikes. We were told in little league, high school ball, college ball, etc. to always swing at a 3rd strike if it's anywhere near the plate. Why don't they do that?
2.) Gorman and Walker have had a decent amount of time now as pros, and several pitching coaches. Why does Gorman still chase swing and strike out on shoulder high 2 seam fastballs, and Walker on sliders low and away?

Re: How will Oli return or dismissal be handled?
In no logical scenario should Mo have any say in Oli's future as the manager of this team. Hopefully, Bloom has spent 2024 & 2025 making a list of things he wants to change. I would think Oli is near the top.
I think an announcement is made within 10 days of season's end.

3. 4/28 vs Reds. Top of 5th. Pages doubles. Scott II walks. No outs. Winn bunts and Pages FO at 3B. Noots follows with DP. No runs. Manager strategy or Winn acting unilaterally? IF managerial strategy why attempt with Pages as lead runner?
4. What aspects of John Jay's coaching has helped Scott II improve his offense and defense performance? To this point of season, Scott II is totally different player than Cardinal fans have watched in the past.

Re: How will Oli return or dismissal be handled?
Absolutely happy to add further context.
Bloom is evaluating more than players alone right now.
He is evaluating staff.
Additionally, the STL Marketing company is prepping for 2026.
The Marmot decision will not be timed in a vacuum.
Descalso and Jay factor as well - in several ways.
Currently, this is where it all stands:
If STL is ahead of only Colorado in the NL in the coming 30 days, there is a 70% chance of The Marmot being fired somewhere around early June.
If STL is sitting 4 or 5 in the division and 10 games out in mid-July, there is a 90% of him being fired no later than early August.
And, there is a 100% chance of him not surviving beyond October 31.

Re: How will Oli return or dismissal be handled?
I disagree. Don't see any way oli is fired in-season. They aren't even concerned about winning. That makes two years in a row where Marmol has been managing stress-free. This is a ridiculous way to run a sports team. And the owners act surprised when fans don't show up. Give me a break. Who runs a business that advertises "Hey, we aren't trying!"?Melville wrote: ↑29 Apr 2025 19:45 pmAbsolutely happy to add further context.

Hopefully, once Mozeliak's pathetic lazy (donkey) is gone, Bloom can bring a competitive spirit back to the organization. That should start with marmol being canned.
Re: How will Oli return or dismissal be handled?
Bloom is stepping into a huge job, as defined by the Cardinals organizational chart. Google “Cardinals Staff Directory” and see all the departments and people listed under that job title.JuanAgosto wrote: ↑29 Apr 2025 21:16 pmI disagree. Don't see any way oli is fired in-season.
