people here screamed to fire shildt.
Shildt wasn't great but I don't remember people screaming for him to be fired.
Shildt was very good.
He was very similar to Matheny.
Completely wrong. He immediately turned around the defense and base running, mid season. It was a glaring difference and are big reasons why they finished so much better than they started.
Please tell me how they were so similar
The defense turned around because of Bader, Edman, Goldy (Shildt’s first full year), and then Arenado being added. What I remember is Shildt running a ton of hit and runs as an interim manager and then never running them once he got a contract.
He was similar in he isn’t awful and isn’t great. He’s better than Oli but not the answer either. Many, many here wanted him gone in 2021 prior to their winning streak.

I remember Matheny getting fired with a 47-46 record during the 2018 season, and Shildt immediately turning around the fundamentals and leading the team to a 41-28 finish. Your hit and run assessment seems entirely anecdotal. Therefore, it's difficult to ensure it's meaningful.
Shildt seems to be doing pretty well in San Diego. I'll take Shildt back tomorrow. Though, the endgame is probably Pujols being the 2026 Manager.

Blues had the same players once they fired the incompetent Bannister and got Montgomery...I don;t feel the Cards players are 100% the problem, its the way they are being used, and that's 100% on the marmot
Save your mental health. We can use all caps. We can use explanation points. We can misuse his name. We can infer profanity. We can use emphatic language. They are not going to fire Marmol during the season. Not going to. Not going to. Be good to yourself.
