I for one am glad C. Bloom is taking his time, sticking to his trade demands and not rushing a trade just to quiet some disgruntled fans.
Agree
I get that fans have questions and want action.
But....it is December 15th after all.
And....I get the excitement over the Winter Meetings which can be the start of trading frenzy but every year is different.
Sometimes the “Market” just takes more time to develop and again it is early.
So far I’m optimistic about what Bloom has done. But just getting started.
I really like the May signing and BTW I’m not predicting anything as to him performing.
I just like his stuff and only committing to a one year deal!
I'm a big fan of the D. May signing too cuse, we just need him to stay healthy!
The trades will come but Bloom isn't going to take just any offer, he's rightfully holding all the cards (bad pun ) and he knows it.
Patience is the key, stay cool & let other POBO/GM's get antsy to satisfy their screaming for trades fan bases.
Yes
And I’ve been chuckling over all the angst concerning the Winter Meetings.
What teams actually did much of anything?

Also I saw a good video by Bernie the other day for me he’(poop) or miss sometimes he has good things to say sometimes he sounds like an idiot but he said gone are the days of just two GMs sitting in a room swinging deals they have multiple meetings with their staff about them and run projections and projections and everyone kicks around ideas and makes suggestions. That’s why he said a lot of deals take time
True
And being outside of St. Louis I rarely see Bernie’s stuff.
Bernie is on X and has his own site. So just as you log in here you can find him outside STL

Every team has the same stated goal. Protect what you have that is good and get the best value in return without giving up vital pieces. Donovan is not a 30HR, 280. hitter therefore he is not going to bring back a teams top 5 prospect. He is right now the teams most available piece with the highest value. He is going to bring back a top 20 at best with perceived flaws in their game but possible breakout seasons and a lower end prospect. Every other player on this team that is available will bring back much less.
All these threads are brought about because of the impatience with no deals that are notable outside of Gray. Learn some patience.

Cardinals may have players no one wants.
Could be the case.
Derrick Goold, Katie Woo, and other writers from other cities may be wrong or making stuff up about interest in certain Cardinals players that we have been reading about all offseason.
Could be the case.
No! That can’t get the case that the propaganda and yes man scheme is in full force in the front office and media outlets. Not the Cardinals! Sounds like wash, rinse and repeat in 2026

I suspect that Bloom is placing a very high priority on moving Nado and Contreras. The rest will be much simpler, and he won’t be under so much pressure to complete deals for Romero and Donovan once those two NTCs are gone.
