Some good suggestions. One thing for sure, there are a lot of variables for the lineup, depending on expected moves, going into '26. Big question, how will they get a much needed power hitter? Especially, without spending some big bucks. Two nice additions would really be helpful. Wetherholt at 1, Herrera at 5, Burleson at 6, Winn at 8 and Scott II at 9 are reasonable options. Now Bloom needs to fill in the missing spots.
Does Burley bat 6th? He's a "Utility Player", so decreed by the MLB. That's only good for around 120 games. "Utility Players" usually slot in around 8th or 9th in the lineup. At least he has a "Prime" subscription.
Silver Slugger, baby ! Burleson is a tremendous production/salary value for the Cardinals.

LH 1- Nootbaar / Donovan LF (I’d rather trade Nootbaar than Donovan)
RH 2- Herrera RH C
LH 3- Burleson RH DH
RH 4- Contreras RH 1B
LH 5- Gorman 3B
RH 6- Walker RF
LH 7- Wetherholt 2B
RH 8- Winn SS
LH 9- Scott CF
Lefty righty balanced with the best 4 hitters getting the most at bats.
Give a little confidence and RBI opportunities to Gorman and Walker bumping up into the 5 and 6 hole. This is there year to breakout.
Let Wetherholt prove himself before we plug him into the top of the order.
We can run more with Walker, Wetherholt, Winn and Scott at the end in that order. Minimum 100 stolen bags from those 4.
Noot or Donovan could also allow for a good running game before the station to station power hitters come up.
The average Home Runs per team last year was 182 or 20 per starter.
15 Donovan / Nootbaar
25 Herrera
25 Burleson
25 Contreras
30 Gorman
25 Walker
15 Wetherholt
15 Winn

185 - Chance at being above average. Obviously anyone following short due to injury or playing time could have some of their home runs replaced by the bench. (Fermin, Church, Sagasse, Crooks)
Wish we had more thump but if Herrera, Burleson, Contreras, Gorman and Walker all average about 25 home runs we’d be pretty tough with a good pitching staff.

Though, with current roster, you assume Donovan is 1st, and then Herrera would offset the LHB by batting 2nd. If Donovan is traded, then JJ leads off, and Herrera still bats 2nd
