Fire Oli.
Fire all coaches.
Mo gone.
New beginning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well , we know that Mo will be gone 100% on that but as for Oli and all the coaches being dismissed ? What happens if only one of your 3 wishes comes true. Then what ? Will your turn on Bloom immediately ?
I'll assume dEwitt is at fault.
He has Oli under contract for 2026.
Maybe he doesn't want to forfeit those dollars.
Bloom should resign if that's the case.
Bloom gets to have whoever he wants as manager in his first season. It will give him time to assess who he might want to manage the Cardinals the next 5-10 years. Oli hasn't been the problem, contrary to the disgruntled CT'ers. He had a good year when the team was good in '22. A terrible year when the team was terrible in '23. A + .500 year when the "fans" thought the team would be worse than '23 and a so so year while the team sold their bullpen and the POBO couldn't trade Arenado. Heck, he held the team together when late inning relief left and Arenado, and now Burley, were injured.
He's not a savior and he isn't the problem, just a symptom. Only an idiot thinks Bloom should resign if Oli stays. Next year, he will have had time to map out his team and would be more likely to name his own manager. The Boo Birds be dam.ned Bloom gets time from me to fix things his own way.
Bloom will be in his 3rd year here. So he has had plenty of time to assess whom he might want to manage for the long haul. If he needs yet another year to assess that, he's the wrong man for the job. And if he sticks with the Mozeliak man for next year, he won't have many fans on board with that. Marmol may not be THE problem, but he is A problem.
You know that is baloney. Last offseason, Bloom had no title but was allowed to begin making changes at the minor league level to the player development department, hiring Rob Cerfolio as an assistant general manager to oversee player development and performance; taking over for the outgoing Gary LaRoque. Bloom and Cerfoilo made a wave of hires underneath that umbrella. LaRoque and Steinhorn were advised to make different plans for '25. He had no authority last or this year to undergo discussions on behalf of the team regarding ML managerial decisions.
Only now, as Bloom takes over Mozeliak's seat, will he have full reign to execute changes to all areas of the organization. That would be jerking a rabbit thru a knothole at this point. Now, if he's willing to make monumental decision tending to the next 5-10 years, more power to him. If not, screw those who see no alternative. Whenever he makes the move will be when
HE is comfortable and not Joe Keyboard.
He has always been the POBO in waiting here. And he's been around MLB a long time. So I'm guessing he has thought about potential managers, your protestations and name calling notwithstanding.
Bull chit. On September 30, 2024, the Cardinals announced that Bloom would succeed Mozeliak as the team's president of baseball operations following the 2025 season. Until that declaration, all he could do would be to pis.s of the good humor man by thinking outside of the box he was in. He was pretty busy fixing the minors in '24 any way.
If your feelings were hurt, you must identify with JK. Shoe fits? You get to have an opinion regarding Bloom, we all do, but when he decides to replace Oli does nothing to his POBO standing.

The Cardinals are only 1 game below .500. Considering how they reasonably projected to do in 2025, I think they did OK. Next year is also a rebuild year. Maybe they put some magic together, but don't be (upset) when they miss the playoffs again. It's expected during the rebuilding process.
Heck, maybe they aren't tanking hard enough?

Good point. To be fair, I appreciate that this team refuses to stack arms and call it a season. Bodes well for the future IMHO.

Oli probably doesn’t make more than ML minimum wage.
If DeWitt insists on keeping him around because of his contract that tells me Bloom has little chance of turning this wreck around.
Exactly. If an agreement is made to let him finish his contract while the rebuild is on, so be it. But if he is the long-term answer, then the organization is not serious.

Everyone needs to understand this:
BDWJR will have the final say on whether Oli stays on for 2026 or is fired after seasons end.
Dewitt is involved (and as the owner has the FINAL SAY) on almost EVERY SINGLE major decision, he's a lifetime baseball man and he makes the final call!
If he decides 2026 is yet another "runway/re-build" season (and by all accounts it's going to be), then he may just stick w/Oli (who's under contract for 2026) and let him assist w/developing these young players.
After 2026 when Oli's contract expires, then and likely only then will C. Bloom choose his new Manager.
JMO but I strongly think this is how it's going to play out.

We know that Bloom is in his 2nd year with the organization.
He will obviously have a lot on his plate to start mostly notably with the roster but also with the manager and his staff.
I don’t know how much in direct dealings Bloom has had with Oli?
So it’s possible he will wait longer to form an opinion?!
On sports open line a few nights ago they were reporting that Oli has been meeting with Bloom on a regular basis for quite some time now.
The inference was that they have a good relationship and that it appears it will continue beyond this season. It was also mentioned that almost to a man the players liked playing for Oli and he has the clubhouse.
Who cares whether this (bleep) manager "has the clubhouse"? Especially regarding THIS clubhouse, which in itself is a problem.
If Bloom retains Oli and his incompetent coaching staff, I along with many other fans will be officially off board with Bloom until he proves he's right. This would not be a new beginning with Mozeliak's puppet returning. The Mozeliak stench must be removed from alpha to omega, and there aren't many alphas.
Personally, I don't care for Oli. Never have. But he hasn't done a bad job this year considering the players we have.
Just passing along what I heard. Such anger

I don't think he handles the clubhouse very well and his paint-by-numbers bullpen management has cost us several games. He needs to go.

Hey, man. I'm not angry at you at all. I'm (upset) at what Mozeliak has done to this franchise.

They said on the broadcast the other night that our bully had the 3rd best era in the NL.
I really think he's done a pretty good job with that part. It's hard to judge with some players being unavailable at different times.
I mean look at what he/they have had to cover with the likes of some of these starters. I'll give Oli a pass on the BP.
I'll give you this; he hasn't handled the clubhouse very well in the past seemingly.
Again, it's hard to say. I've always maintained that the players like Oli, but I don't believe that they're all in on his decision making.

And if it does play out like that, II & III are looking at attendance under two million. They would be throwing down the gauntlet to their customers, which is a bet-the-company move. I wonder what the minority owners are thinking.

Yep, retaining Mozeliak puppet Marmol while raising ticket prices will signal to fans they are not really turning the page all the way while trying to hit them up for more money. I imagine season ticket sales would take a big hit.
