Pffft. Give it a rest. People like to go out and see a baseball game. And you know what? They saw a good game.

Weather wise, it was probably the best night of the season.

Or they enjoy watching baseball and can get some really cheap tickets.
perhaps.....but endorsing the product by attending does not further the needed change
Life's short, I'm gonna enjoy a ballgame with friends/kids whenever the opportunity strikes. This isn't a 1 year fix for this team.

Go to the games all you want.
But that doesn't take away from the fact attendance has fallen off a cliff and there's clearly a reason for it.
The success of the ballclub is an emotional investment by generations of fans.
No success no fans.

Some have gotten to the point that they can’t even be happy over a walk off win.

Has nothing to do w/the sad state of the team BDWJr/Mo have allowed this proud franchise to sink to.
17,675 paid..............about 10,000-11,000 in the park?

Or they’re capable of holding two thoughts in their head at the same time.
1. Glad they won the game.
2. This organization’s gonna have to do a whole lot more than win one meaningless game in August against the Pirates to turn things around.

5 1/2 back for a wild card. Go Cards!

Pretty good bobble head giveaway coming up on the 5th, should be a decent crowd. I’ll be there for the only time this season.
It’s sad to see the pictures of the empty stadium. Golden goose has been killed off by Mo and the ownership group.

Not everybody needs to put a caveat on an enjoyable game. Cards won, it was fun and entertaining, end story. Everybody knows that winning that game isn't turning around an organization. It doesn't take a baseball savant to point that out.

On the positive side: +17,000 showed up to see the Pirates in action & Contreras throw a flameout.
On the negative side: +17,000, on a great summer evening, showed up to watch the Pirate and Contreras play.
IF Rocks attendance assessment is correct you are dangerously close to Marlin, A's, etc attendance.

Nobody is saying you had to. If you’re just gonna enjoy the game then do that and don’t worry so much about those that do.
Life is short, remember?

Of course it doesn’t. But for some, winning on a Monday night against Pittsburgh seems to absolve them from being below .500 and 17 games back. I’m not one of those people; I’d rather focus on the forest than the trees.
