Nooooooooooooooo way in h e l l he's going to be the catcher in 2026 w/Crooks, Bernal etc....... coming fast.
He's either going to learn how to play the OF or be a DH.
And he also better worry about his hitting, which has slipped since he returned on 7/13:
142 PA's
.242 .326 .306 .633
+1
Looking like that power surge early was a mirage. He def. needs to remember how to hit
Pitchers make adjustments, now up to him to also adjust or he'll just be the latest "flash in the pan".
The injuries set him back, I think he's a good hitter.
Hopefully he'll adjust and have a strong finish!

But should he, considering all the other fine catchers in the organization? Going forward, this is one of the more important positional decisions for Bloom. Also, involving some future possible trade chips considering the abundance of catcher talent. That, and where does he find some top of the rotation type starting pitching? Hopefully, Doyle is one of them.
And, I’d like to date Jennifer Garner. I don’t see either happening…
Me too. Not happening for me either. Guy needs to stick to left field.

If Oli is here next year, he will roll with Pages as his catcher. He has fallen in love with him.
I hope that Bloom will cut the cord with Oli, if ownership lets him.
I have my doubts that ownership will let Bloom do his job.

I'd trade Herrera for pitching. Why switch him to other positions that he would also be a butcher at? He's an ok bat, but not enough to overcome horrible defensive shortcomings in the OF. His offense is overrated. Like I said, the bat is merely "ok", but not special or elite enough to be full time DH. He had a hot start, but check out his overall stats, he's basically a right-handed Burleson. If the management decides he's not a catcher, then we should trade him.

Could happen, especially if he's determined to return to catching.
I can see C. Bloom taking a chainsaw to this horribly constructed, untalented roster.

Herrera low key had the 2nd best ops after contreras last season.
Inthink he will hit fine overall, but he probably isnt that .900 ops guy we saw early on and may not even be an .800 ops guy but just a .770 ish ops guy. Another above average bat like burly and donovan but not an elite hitter but unlike donovan one struggling to find a position to play. Would have been a major asset if he could catch decently but it doesnt seem to be.

That's where I have him too wattage, somewhere in the .750/floor - .850/ceiling OPS range.
If he could've only thrown, then he would've been an asset behind the plate.
Still could be at DH/Part time OF'er.
But may end up being trade chip if he wants to catch.

He has value, big time if some team see's him as their catcher and thinks they can correct his throwing issues (good luck).

Raniel Rodriquez, age 18, seems to be an outstanding hitter. Not sure about his catcher defense. But he looks like a heckuva hitting prospect. It shouldn't take him long to get to AA.

He will be traded in offseason along with either Noot, Burley or Donovan for pitching

Do Pages and/or Pozo have much trade value?

At this point, if he could be traded, I wouldn't be disappointed , with the young guys coming.
