Just a play that stood out, and of course poor Gorman was involved. Can’t catch a fielding break. He did hit a home run.
Question- did you ever think of Pinson instead of Maris reference best Cardinal outfield.
I don’t have any memories of Pinson, although I’m sure he, Flood and Brock made for a formidable outfield. I think he was just here for ‘69?

Yes one year. He had some nice stats in Cincinnati. How long was Maris here, I’ll have to look. Maris was here 67 and 68. Pinson must have been his replacement.

Gorman is Gorman and if by now you do not realize the player you are getting then too bad so sad.
Last nite the Cards had 12 hits, 1 - double, 1 - triple, 3 HR. Winn had 2 on, Gorman 1 on, and Pages a solo. That would leave 7 singles. More importantly they had 12 STRIKEOUTS. Scoring opportunities were there, they just screwed the pooch by SO. Nothing like helping the opposition beat you.
