I wonder............

Was it Bloom who insisted McGreevy stay up (after we watched Mo yo-yo him all season up & down) and also "suggested" just DFAing Fedde? :D

It happens in corporate America all the time. Growth office joins but sits on the side lines learning etc for months / year before taking over or really any executive. It happens all the time.

Anyway if their flawed logic holds true we have another Moe on our hands.
Are going to give Chaim a nickname like “Moe”?
Maybe like “Off Key Chime”? OKC?
He may never get a nickname.

After all, he isn’t a bow-tie wearing, sweater-tied around the neck, pompous, clueless, worthless slug like his predecessor.

I know a lot of guys who wear bow ties and sweater tied around the neck. Do you have a problem with that? If so, why?

I never said he was running the show. I've said he has final say (or at the very least, veto power) over any roster decisions effecting 2026 and beyond. There's a difference. He would not have signed a deal without saying over what he was left with.

If he did sign a deal without, you're probably right...we're in trouble. And I've said as much.

Mo is simply driving the bus. He makes sure there’s gas in the tank and the schedule is kept. He has no control over the destination, route, the schedule, or how much the workers are paid, or the passengers are charged. His only job is to see the bus get from Point A to Point B by the scheduled time. That’s the extent of his control. The decisions about the FUTURE of the bus company is in the hands of Dewitt and Bloom.

I’m not surprised that you “know a lot of guys who wear bow ties and sweater tied around the neck.”

And if they also are pompous, clueless, and worthless I don’t care, as long as they have no role in running the St. Louis Cardinals.

Yes, I know guys who dress like that, as do a number of other posters. But we probably don’t factor that into our “judgement” of them like you do.
