I’m sure he means realistically untouchable. I don’t think he means fantasy untouchable. I mean realistically a team isn’t going to make an absurd offer like that so you would say he’s untouchable in reality standards but I guess if you are saying think fantasy land then yea he’s tradable

I'd deal Winn and Gorman for the right return.

I'm almost to the point I want them to start the sell-off (Helsley-Fedde-Matz-Maton-Pallante) as well as these players in the right deal (Noot-Walker-Gorman-Winn-Burly).

Also move on from the auto out Pages, give Pozo the bulk of the starts and then pair him w/Crooks next season.

I am sorry but Gorman is not a build around piece. I buy into your intent however. This team is done, and I for one welcome only one event at this point simply because the one thing you must have to have a championship team, is pitching. This team does not have it. You can buy a bat or two to put you over the finish line at the trade deadline. You can even buy a pitcher or two that is the finishing touch. This team needs both sides of the coin in big quantities. The management has already expressed they are not in the business of buying championships, and not for trading for them at the deadline. Which is a policy I agree with. The trade deadline prices are always too inflated. They need to sell right now. Let guys like Arenado, Contreras, Fedde and Gray see the light and jump ship with the managements blessing. Trade them along with guys that need a change of scenery like Gorman. Get what prospects you can and compete for a good draft position again next year. Use the offseason to jettison Moz and all his cruddy managers. Trade for some young guys and go into spring with a new mindset and team.

I can definitely understand both sides on the Gorman argument. I only mention this group to keep bc you cant sell off EVERYONE, then you would have to likely spend 70-80% on the new team and we know cheap Dewitt aint doing that

Gorman and Walker for that matter cannot continue to take a spot on the MLB roster and not be a piece with purpose. Even if they ride the bench then they should at least be dangerous late game bats. They just are not. Neither one exhibits a command of the strike zone. They are mistake hitters that rarely get a mistake pitch. They need a change of scenery and the cards need the roster spot.

I agree with this.

The idea to keep a player because he’s playing so poorly that his trade value is low is a mistake.

3 and 4 year auditions need to end.

I like Donovan. I think he is a player you can win with.

But with Wetherholt coming and the team playing poorly I would absolutely listen to offers on Donovan.

This team is a ways away from winning IMO and the more young players/prospects they can acquire the better.

Only bc Walker is still only 23, I would put him in AAA till he goes on an absolute tear. Let him reset, his way. The way that made him a top prospect. I have been on the fence with him too though. But in the right deal yes I move him if need be. I put a lot of stock in Winn when he was coming up. The easy LH power from Gorman has always been a fave of mine. Same as Walker, only move in the right deal. I think he has more to offer. Lib is just adjusting to his big innings increase. Once he gets adjusted to starter life he will be solid. With Crooks, Bernal and Raniel Rod on the way, Herrera could net a good prospect while his stock is fairly high. I only move Donnie because his value is very high and he will command the big bucks soon. But I'm ok keeping him as well.
