This team is done, and I for one welcome only one event at this point simply because the one thing you must have to have a championship team, is pitching. This team does not have it. This team needs both sides of the coin in big quantities. The management has already expressed they are not in the business of buying championships, and not for trading for them at the deadline. Gorman and Walker for that matter cannot continue to take a spot on the MLB roster and not be a piece with purpose. Even if they ride the bench then they should at least be dangerous late game bats. They just are not. Neither one exhibits a command of the strike zone. They are mistake hitters that rarely get a mistake pitch. They need a change of scenery and the cards need the roster spot.

I think it depends on what the cardinals game plan is going to be going forward if they are going to let bloom spend to previous mo levels then keep Donovan if you’re trying to build a team to win now he’s absolutely a player you want on that team you can find playing time for him and he can play second when JJ goes down with hammie issues If they are going for a full blown rebuild sell no reason to keep him and you could get a good prospect in return for him
